Let Lady Floren take you on a tour of her past
collegian life.
Smith Hall (Lady Floren's dorm)
This is where I began my day at the crack of dawn
Always had classes scheduled 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
MWF.
I have made many friends along the way while living
at Smith Hall.
First and foremost, my best
friend Sherrie (who is now married and brought to
this world, my beautiful god-daughter, Nicole.
Sherrie, I can not even begin to thank you for
everything. When I was sick, you rode your bike to
the store to get me medicine in the cold. Checked up
on me before and after classes and fed me quite
of few meals. Also thanks for covering me when I was
short of cash. Now that we are all grown up
and married, I am only a phone call away.
Many of you made my days a little brighter while
living on campus Johnny (Dorm Gov't President):
I taught you well, Mr. President!
Always knocking on my door especilly at 2 a.m. when I
was trying to get some rest. Thanks for stopping by
with pizzas to chat.
Robert (from Alaska): You were a cool friend and I
enjoyed the lasagna dinner and going to the concert.
You and I ate a lot of brownies, White Castle-like
burgers and anything we could find during finals
week.
Anna: You did make the best brownie. You were a true
friend, always there when I wanted someone just to
shoot the breeze with.
Pat (Dorm Monitor): Are you still hooking up a
sista's hair?
Bryan (Bob's roommate): All my lady friends at Smith
Hall thought you had the most gorgeous eyes.
And to the ladies on the 10th floor: WOW! What can I
say. We had our great moments playing good jokes on
the 8th floor boys.
And to the others (too many to mention):
Lady Floren hopes that you are all doing well.
School Of Business Where I spent most of my days
Ps:Shout out to all the teachers who really
cared.
Sherrie and I sat in many classes together. Should I
tell them about how much you fussed about how you
would study all during the term and I, the night
before finals and got a better grade. No! I
won't.
When I returned to FSU to finish my education in
1990, I met...
Joanne: Dear sweet young lady. You are the reason why
I began to get on the Dean's List. You taught me how
not to stop short of an A. in QMB, Finance, Marketing
Research etc...
John & Trina: My roommates. You were the best and I
miss you like crazy. Now that you two are one, take
care of one and other.
Frantz Jr: Aka Blockbusterman. You are one of a kind,
buddy. A true success story of how one can overcome adversities. I will always be your big sister, so don't you forget it!
To my husband, Carlos: You are my life and I thank
you for working so dilligently and paying the bills
(without a complaint) to allow me to finish my
education. God has given me a good man in you.
What's mine is yours forever.
Doak Campbell Stadium
So much fun on a saturday night
Seminole war chant goes out to the many Fsu football
players (past and present) and great Fsu fans.
My time at FSU
remains dear in my heart and I will never forget
those who have made this journey an experience to
treasure forever.
Lady Floren will always bleed Garnet and
Gold.
