Maine has many species of freshwater fish.
Including Bass, Trout, Salmon and Togue.
There are many lakes and streams in Maine
to fish for these species. Most
areas are stocked yearly by the Department
of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Maine's
streams are cold water streams, many are fed by either
mountain waters or underground aquafirs.
The lakes hold a large and abundant variety
of fish, many fishermen enjoy hours on these lakes.
Sue and I enjoy the smaller rivers and streams
in our area, fishing mostly for trout,
rangeing from 6 inches to 19 inches.
Sometimes we catch Bass, I myself like fishing for
Bass, Sue prefers trout. The Bass in this area,
(Androscoggin River) are relativly large, largest
I have caught is about 12 inches, and about 1 pound.
I usually try to use live bait, a snail works well.
