9:36 PM, on the computer
I'm tired again. Gee, imagine that.
Random Thought: For some reason I enjoy listening to arguments. Anyone. Two people arguing, can get philosophically brilliant and bring up some points that I never thought of. It's wierd, really. I also learned an important lesson today... if you get two women on their periods, get them both ticked at each other, and put them in the same room... chances are SOMETHING'S gonna catch on fire.
My day started out early... around 6. I looked at the alarm and said screw it, and I woke up 45 minutes later and rushed out of the bed and into my clothes. Courtney got here around 7, and we picked up Molly at 7:05... and left at 7:30. Well I found my class and I made it on time, and I discovered that I had an old friend in the class with me. Yes, it's a her. Well we had to take a test today for placement in college algebra, and it was computerized. Everyone was having trouble and taking a long time on the questions, but as for me... "click... click... click... done!" When it came time to check scores, everyone was saying "man, I got 5 out of 12!", "I only got three right?", and "I'm not saying my score". Every head turned when I let out a loud "Crap!! I missed one!!" Yeah, surprised me too!
Nothing next period... lucky for me, the cute girl from yesterday has no classes then either, so I ate breakfast with her. It was cool. Btw, her name is Amanda. I showed her around and walked her to her next class, then went to mine. She may like me, I dunno.
French... yikes. That was embarassing. My French teacher asked who had experience with French. I answered her honestly, and now I'm in French III... which means bye bye to morning chats with Amanda. But back to the class, I didn't have my watch so I kept asking my friend behind me what time it was, and he said it was almost time for class to be over. The teacher kept talking. I asked again, and he just showed me his watch instead. 10:56.
10:56!???!? The class just ended 6 minutes ago and the next one is in four!
And she kept talking... in fact, she said "next on the list is..."
I dropped my jaw and said "what???".......... and then suddenly realized my friend's watch is ten minutes ahead. I blushed BADLY. Normally I'd stand and bow like I planned it... but the look on my face... well even I thought it was priceless.
Next on the list was Psychology. Ironically I was late for that class because of the French teacher. The class is HUGE and the teacher... she's a female version of Adam West. I'm gonna need a cup of coffee before that class, I can tell.
Lunch was after that, couldn't find anyone to eat with, which I found unusual, so I sat with those three cute girls in band... and they depressed the dickens out of me. Three days ago they were almost all over me, now they were talking about guys and who was cute and who wasn't, and they didn't even pay attention to me. I felt depressed, lowly, and somewhat used. I do realize it's my fault though for getting overconfident and jumping to conclusions. I didn't eat lunch and went on ahead to Jazz band. Class was cancelled because tryouts aren't until tomorrow so I did end up eating lunch. Whoopie.
Lucky me, I had no more classes until Band, which was at 3:30 and it was 12:30. I got severely bored... I talked to ANYONE that walked by. At around 2 though I went to the tree by the band hall and sat down to talk to some cute clarinet player, and I saw a sight that made my heart jump into my stomach. Courtney... walking from class... with Amanda. I decided to tag along, and the first thing I asked was "okay Amanda, what do I have to start apoligizing for?" She laughed and said that they hadn't really talked about me. Groovy... no wait, that's bad. Well I escorted the ladies to the bookstore and helped them find their books that they needed and left for band.
This is where things got interesting. The first half of class I flirted with Caren and casually talked to Ashley. Later we went out to the field as normal and marched around, and I noticed Ashley was breathing hard but wasn't sweating. She complained of being dizzy and I noticed goosebumps on her neck. First signs of heat stroke. I told her to breathe slowly but she was stubborn and got worse. She got dizzier and dizzier, and finally she caved in and let me walk her off the field and get something to drink. Luckily a guy tagged along to help, and he was just that... he helped a great deal. He carried our saxes while I helped her into the building and helped her drink some water. Ashley started to go into a Hypoglycemic attack so I gave the other guy a one and we went to go get some soda crackers, but Ash refused to eat them so I had to slowly feed them to her by hand. Eventually she got strong enough to eat on her own and I started rubbing cold water on her upper chest, chin, cheeks, forehead, and the back of her neck to cool her down. Eventually she started cooling off and breathed normally, and she even cracked a smile or two. The guy and I helped her get back to the band hall, and I got her some Advil and some water to drink while she sat down. I found Courtney and Molly, said bye to Ashley, turned her over to Caren, and left. I felt pretty good but Courtney said I went overboard with Ashley. See, I tend to tune myself out from the world during a crisis, and that's why I'm able to operate so smoothly, because I focus on two things: the problem, and how I can help. Basically though it turns out that in my philanthropic frenzy I got too flirtatious. VERY flirtatious. Apparently I was so focused on Ashley's health that I didn't notice people were making fun of me because of it. Yeesh.
After classes the three of us went out for a drink. Molly got a five-shot mocha, and Court and I got glasses of water. When I got home the three of us ate dinner because mom invited them, then I took Molly to church and took a shower. I needed it too... the smell burned into my nostrils, and even though I'm wearing clean clothes I can still smell it a little bit.
I'm looking forward to tommorow.
