Saxual Fulfillment

Dateline July 1, 1998

Waldo Weathers is an international sax sensation! Just back in the States from a five week tour of Spain, Waldo made appearances on radio shows and played to nearly sell-out crowds, with continuing accolades and standing ovations.

When he is not on tour in Europe or backing up James Brown, Waldo is kicked back in his Nashville crib! In town, he plays local venues, backed up by The Christian Hastings Group - Jazz, Blues & Funk, and is graced occasionally by the smooth funk vocalist, Martha High. In his 'spare time', Waldo also plays with the Jimmy Church Band.

Quoting Waldo, "I've always been concerned with making music that's real, music that makes people move and dance and most of all music that makes people feel good."

And that is exactly what he does... MAKE PEOPLE FEEL GOOD!

Waldo began playing in a soul band called 'The Night Lighters' (later called 'New Birth'), at the age of twelve in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Then in 1982, Waldo began working in the country music industry, playing with mega-stars like Charley Pride and Johnny Taylor. From there he cut his first country single--- "She Believes in Me," written by Steve Gibb.

In 1995, Waldo went on and recorded a live album at The Apollo with the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.

Waldo is an Artist in FULL BLOOM! When playing the sax, Waldo's interpretation of any song--- from country to funk, turns into a steamy love affair.
