Vieux Carre

"'Ah but we are splendid Devils aren't we?'
'Hunters of the Savage Garden.' I said"
~Gabrielle and Lestat de Lioncourt

Welcome to the Vieux Carre...or the Beautiful French Quarter as it's more widely known. My favorite place in the whole wide world. What better way to spend an afternoon that in the cool grass of Jackson Square eating a PBJ sandwich and reading a good book. Or how about spending your evening at Lafitte's sipping Chartreuse and watching the world go by. Of course if you can't do that you could be here viewing the largest collection of Tony Crane pictures on the web! :) Monsieur Crane stars as Detective Remy McSwain in the hit TV show 'The Big Easy'. It used to come on every Sunday night at 10 on USA and no where else, but I blinked one week and Anne disappeared and then so did the show. It was based on the movie 'The Big Easy' that came out in the 80's and stared Dennis Quaid. The show is about a cop in New Orleans who's fighting crime and his crush on Assistant D.A. Anne Osborne (played by Susan Waters)... he's also got to deal with his trumpet playing buddy, Smiley DuPree whom he manages, and his uncle C. D. LeBlanc, who is the chief of police. It's a fun action packed show that keeps you on your toes wondering if he's going to ever kiss Ann! Even though the show is now gone (I intend to write USA one day when I have a spare moment and find out why the hell they did that) you can always come here for a little Remy fix, it's not quite the same but it helps quell the pain.

Here's Mr. McSwain himself.

Remy and Ann.

Remy eating crawfish (If only it were Shrimp).

In his car singing, I think?

With Ann, maybe he gets the girl after all...

No, he's not in jail! ;)

It seems that I'm not the only one in love with this great show... check out this other cool page and see what's up with 'The Big Easy'
