This little section of the garden is dedicated to one of my favorite movies, 'The Saint'. Starring Val Kilmer as Simon Templar, a thief on the run, and Elizabeth Shue as Emma Russell, a scientist who discovers the formula to cold fusion. Their paths cross when... well you'll just have to find out by going to the movie. There are also great villains in the movie, a Mr. Rade Serbedzija as Ivan Tretiak, and Valery Nikolaev as Ilya Tretiak, Ivan's son (editors note: Valery is a great bad guy, but I still think he's a waste of good hair). To begin with I just went to the movie because I thought it was cool, and well it had Val in it... but now I find that it was just an all out beautiful movie. I really enjoyed the plot, the characters... they were so easy to identify with... Ok, before I make this experience cheesy I'll leave you to venture forth, see the movie, and view some nice pictures I snagged of Mr. Kilmer and the other cast members. Look close and you'll also find a list of all his saintly alias' (I know they were hard to keep up with). :)

Here is a list of Simon Templar's saintly alias':

* John Baptist Rossi- a saint who gave away all his possessions. This was the name given to Simon by the orphanage.

* Martin de Porres - a Panamanian saint who could cure the sick or injured by the laying on of hands. This was the disguise he used to get out of Russia with a stolen microchip.

*Bruno Hautenfaust - A wealthy saint who had the wine, the women, the song... and then gave it all up and became a hermit where he lived in the woods, naked. This was his persona when he made a deal with Ivan Tretiak to get cold fusion.

* Thomas More - the saint who refused to sign the Act of Succession. This was the disguise he used to seduce Emma Russell in order to get cold fusion from her.

* Vincent Ferrer - a Dominican saint who betrayed his best friend. His identity when he traveled to Russia to get his money from Ivan.

* August Christopher - St. Augustine, coined the phrase "Give me constancy, and give me chastity, but do not give it yet." This persona was used in order to find Emma in the embassy.

  • 'Salvator Mundi';This is a short story I wrote after watching the Saint for the third time I think it was. ;)

    If anyone else was inspired by this movie send your works my way and I'll put them up... it's a shame to waste creativity.
