"Pagan...and it all seemed more than ever the story of the Savage Garden,
dancers in the Savage Garden, where no law prevailed except the law of the Garden,
which was an aesthetic law." ~Lestat de Lioncourt
Welcome to my music page. Below you will find links and tidbits about some of the
hottest (and my favorite) bands in the business. Well what are you waiting for? Read
on!
Check out the Continuing Adventures of Concert
Girl and see what she has to say about some of the concerts she's been too. From
Bush to Marilyn Manson and The Wallflowers she's seen alot. Talk about luck of the
Irish. ;)
Have you ever been hurt at a concert??? Well then check out
the Mosh Pit and see just what can happen to you at some of
those shows. Maybe you've got a story you'd like to submit for the pit, which concert is
the worst?
Before you venture too far into the music you might want to read some interpretations
of some artists and songs that I found on the web.
The God of Nothing; An interesting interpretation of
Marilyn Manson and his music, contributed by me.
The following three are some unique contributions about NIN by my dear friend Fran:
Nine Inch Nails, no better way to start a
music page is there? How I love the heart renching ballads, the soul busting songs of this
wonderfully talented group fronted by Trent Reznor...the band actually pretty much is
Trent, but in the early years he had the help of men like Danny Lohner, Robin Fink, Chris
Vrenna and many others who I'm forgetting at this time. If you've been lucky enough to
pick up a copy of 'Closer' Halo 12, you'll see all these guys in their full glory as they do the
downward spiral tour of 1994-96. It's a beautifully done video and well worth the money.
The title does disturb me, alot... but that's quite alright I suppose... even the greats have to
bring it to and end at some point don't they? Not much has come out in the way of 'new'
from NIN, but be on the look out. The soundtrack to 'Lost Highway' came out last
spring bringing us 'The Perfect Drug' to tide us over, and I'll say it's done well, I'm still
high from the experience. There's supposed to be another album out soon, but you never know with Trent. It could come out this year, next year, or in five. I can vouch that he's at his recording studio as I type though (or he was the week of St. Patricks day while I was in town). Maybe that's a good sign!
The Perfect Drug video stills page: This
page has been put together by one of my buddies. It's a really cool page with some
awesome pics from the video. It might be to your liking to check them out since MTV
doesn't show video's much anymore, you might not get to see it for a long time.
Marilyn Manson... every mom's worst nightmare yet he's every angst ridden teens
best friend. No one but Manson really understands what he's doing but his fans would like
to try and figure him out, and some of us are just inspired by his insites. Please venture
below and check out these interesting sites, decide for yourself what he's all about.
Individuality is the key so I'm not here to tell you what any of these bands are about, let
alone what the Rev. Manson is trying to tell you.
Bush, A great band with a huge following and for good reason. They've sold millions of
copies of their old album '16stone', and their sophomore album 'Razorblade Suitcase' is
following suit. The entire CD is dark, yet moving... I only ever listened to the music till I
went to their concert at the Omni on March 31st '97 and I started to listen to the words. Mr.
Rossdale has some pretty powerful things to say when you get right down to it. As Gavin
said before singing 'Alien', "The message is in the Music".
YKYLTTMBW: You Know
You Listen To Too Much Bush When...
I had the pleasure of seeing these Cajun boys in concert and boy did I have a great
time. Better than Ezra has 2 CD's under their belt, 'Deluxe' and 'Friction Baby' both of
which are well worth their money.
The Official Pimp Daddy Welfare Page: This is a page run by a dear friend of mine who is an aspiring rapper. Check out his page and listen to some of the cool mixes done by DJ Jew Boy.
