SAR SEEKS PHOTOS OF PATRIOT GRAVES
Seeking to enhance the information and resources on the new edition of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Patriot Index
the SAR is asking for submissions of photographs of gravestones of patriots. Submissions may be made electronically or in hard copy format. The new SAR Patriot Index
CD-ROM will contain over 700,000 family history records and other information on patriots who served their country during the American Revolution. The CD-ROM will display the name of the patriot, the service they performed and, in many cases, their lineage connecting them to a present day SAR descendant. Photographs of graves of patriots are expected to enhance the visual and historical sense of value of the Index.
The Patriot Index is scheduled for release in 2002. Hard copy submissions of photographs may be sent to SAR Patriot Index Committee, 3 La Costa Court, Ormond Beach, FL 32174-3811.
Submissions of electronic submissions may be e-mailed to TxDOT SEEKS DESCENDANTS The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
