Because several members of our families have been touched by Cancer, I am dedicating this page to the American Cancer Society's RELAY FOR LIFE.

This year (2000) Sherman Police Chief, Jerry Caylor and Sherman City Council Member Rita Holcomb walked in the Survivors walk.

Here are pictures of our Team, THE SHERMAN CITY STROLLERS. The team was made up of City employees and their families.

We raised over $2500 and walked over 100 miles. Sharing adjacent tent space was the Sherman Police Explorers Post #25 which is a youth group dedicated to law enforcement.

The Grayson County event raised over $60,000 which exceeded our goal by $10,000. A noble goal for next year.

Not only was the event fiscally successful but to quote an old press phrase, "A good time was had by all".
