Well, all trinis know that Christmas time is coming up.... That means that you now have an excuse to go straight up inside people's houses and make noise, (if you know how to play parang), eat all their food and drink all their stocks... And that's not all. Around this time Carnival preparations begin so you have an excuse to do the same things, but this time half naked on some main road, or in some fete. Well you have to have permission from the spouse to go the fete first, and you can't do these things if the spouse attends the party too. So you'll wondering how the lime changes during this period, right?? Well firstly, during November boyfriends studying how to get out of relationships in order to save a little money for the Christmas. The reason we have to do that is because these women today, want some seriously expensive gifts, and men today want money to go and drink some beers with the boys... So the confusion starts. Girls on the other hand know that they could get that gold chain they always wanted if they don't give any trouble for one more month.. They don't know that their boyfriend wants to end the relationship. They just know that they have to be very good in order to get that expensive gift. Due to the girl's sudden step up in attitude, some men are now caught in two minds about breaking up with their women, because they really think the women have changed for the better. HA!. These kind of men, will find out the truth on Boxing Day, when they will be broken, sober and have no idea where the rest of the boys (who got dissed for the girl a few days ago) are currently liming. Now to the men who were successful in getting out of their money trap of a relationship, might want to extend the period of separation until after Carnival.. That is pushing your luck unless you really do not want to be with this woman.. The wise man however, by December 27th will already have called back his girlfriend and pleaded with her to take him back, and of course if she likes him, she will be so happy to take him back that she ignores that fact that she didn't get a Christmas gift. Of course, he still gets one, because you know that the girl bought that gift since July and kept it well hidden and rather than wait till next year or his birthday or something will still give the love of her life the gift.. ( not if she reads this however ). Ok men, so you're back together with your girlfriend, you saved a lot of money this Christmas, and you enjoyed storming a few houses and drinking up a storm because you had gas money this year.. But somehow you ended up back in a relationship and now all your single partners telling you about Carnival and where you going, and what you doing.. You telling them 'Yeah, I in dat !!' but you know in your heart that your girlfriend aint letting you do them things and go them places unless you letting her go out with her friends.. And you know one or two of your girlfriend's friends reputations not that spotless.. So you have some choices
