Well , it's summertime right now and those of you, ages 21 and up, know what that means. In case you don't , it means that those places where you once enjoyed going, possibly because of the mature crowd, are now going to be swamped by children ready to party with the big guys. They arrive in their hundreds, the majority of which are deposited at our once exclusive venues by their parents. Many a time, I have arrived at a nightclub at the same time as one of these kids and have witnessed the bartering that takes place in the car park for an extension of an hour or so to the pre-agreed curfew time. While this extension is hardly ever forthcoming, many children take it upon themselves to be an hour late instead thereby leaving a parent who is getting angrier by the minute in the carpark. Those of you reading this and wondering if I have any solutions to this problem, the answer to that question is no. This is merely a warning. With the summer on hand however the party scenes change a little. The younger more agressive party goer can now find outdoor parties to their liking, held in special venues, once. Once because if you go to the same venue the following weekend, I doubt you'll find a party there again. While these fetes are not really my thing, they are enjoyed by many. Because of the summer and the fact that money can be made from children on holidays, some clubs will now throw parties on Sundays. This is not a bad idea in my books. Now lemme reach out to the bruddas like myself. All of the above suggestions involve some money spending and right now I trying to avoid doing too much of that. They are free limes (beach) and they really good too (girls in bikinis) or you could always organize a pool lime in a bar for 3 or 4 dollars. Now what everybody talking about now too , will obviously be Great Race. Well I say go ahead. I went to Tobago for the Race several times and yeah , it's worth it. Mind you though , in order to have a comfortable stay , and reliable transport (from Trinidad to Tobago and back too) you have to at least have a $1000. Needless to say , I rather free Maracas beach on a well timed Sunday (plenty girls in bikinis) than a $x - $1000 balance in my account. Right now my account only have $16 in it anyway and 16-1000 could have some jail time in it. Speaking of which, I feel I really want to avoid jail for the holidays too.
