This sight is dedicated primarily to the Mustang Aircraft supplied either by kit or through plans from the great guys at Mustang Aeronautics. In addition, it will link to other aviation sights of interest.
Hi,
You have reached the HOME PAGE of John F. Nunley III.
I am currently building a Mustang II aircraft from a kit purchased from Mustang Aeronautics, Troy, Michigan. This
all metal aircraft is capable of speeds in the 200 mph range. It seats two. It is primarily built as a tail dragger,
but can be built as a retractable. It has a gross weight of 1600 pounds, and an empty weight of 950-1100 pounds
depending on paint, gear, and other options. From time to time, I will discuss the construction of this fine aircraft.
The following picture files show some of the different views of a Mustang II flap, and a couple of the center section ribs.
On the Mustang II, the flap is one solid structure from two feet on one side of the aircraft, continuing all the way underneath
the body to two feet out the other side.
