Thanks, in part, to the hard working folks at the
Experimental Aircraft
Association, Americans are, amazingly enough, still
free to design, build, and fly their own aircraft.
Of course there is still a host of bureacratic procedures
to go through, but it is possible. Their are several levels
of homebuilding. Roughly, one can: 1) design and build, 2)
buy plans and build, or 3) buy a kit and build.
We have chosen Option 2 since it offers a
nice compromize between time invested and cash flow.

We're building a Cozy IV,
modified with some
Aerocanard components.
So far we've been calling it anything from a Kleb Cozy IV, to the
rather ugly sounding: Cozinard, to the more recent: Aerocozy.
