The AR8000 Quick Reference Card

This card is centered on the keypad functions but does includes some advanced features of the AR8000. If you want to see other information email rgallim@icgroup.net. Please let me know what you think.

[SRCH] - search key

[FUNC][SRCH] - enter search menu, (un)link banks - allows for searching of multiple banks

[FUNC][2VFO] - transfer busy frequency to active VFO - stops searching and monitor one

specific frequency

[SCAN](M.R) - scan / memory recall key

[FUNC][SCAN] - enter scan menu, (un)link banks - allows for scanning of multiple banks

[FUNC][2VFO] - transfer busy frequency to active VFO stops scanning and monitor one

specific channel

[2VFO] A=B - twin VFO / equalise memory / manual search key

Each press changes between A and B

Held for more than 1 second, enter manual search between A and B

[FUNC][VFO] - equalises top VFO with bottom VFO - while in scan, transfers active

channel to active VFO

[UP>] - up / move key

[FUNC][UP>] - edit active VFO frequency

[DOWN<] - down / move key

[FUNC][DOWN<] - edit active VFO frequency

[1] [A] [ATT] - numeric 1 / bank A / attenuator

[FUNC][1] - attenuator toggled on/off

[2] [B] [STEP] - numeric 2 / bank B / step

[FUNC][2] - change step size

[3] [C] [MODE] - numeric 3 / bank C / mode

[FUNC][3] - change mode

[4] [D] [PRI CH] - numeric 4 / bank D/ priority operation

[FUNC][4] - activate priority channel

[FUNC][4] - held for more than 1 second, activate priority channel

[5] [E] [S SCAN] - numeric 5 / bank E / select scan menu

[FUNC][5] - activate select scan

[6] [F] [S PROG] - numeric 6 / bank F / search program

[FUNC][6] - activate search program

[PASS] - while in search program, activate step offset

[7] [G] [B SCP] - numeric 7 / bank G / band scope

[FUNC][7] - activate band scope

[FUNC][7] or [SRCH] or [SCAN] or [2VFO] - deactivates band scope

[8] [H] [EDT CH] - numeric 8 / bank H / edit memory channel

[FUNC][8] - activate edit channel menu

[9] [I] [DEL] - numeric 9 / bank I / data delete

[FUNC][9] - activate data delete menu

[0] [J] [COPY] - numeric 0 / bank J / copy (clone) between sets

[FUNC][0] - activate copy menu

[.] [Aa] [P.WORD] - decimal seperator / bank select / password bank

[FUNC][.] - activate password menu

[LOCAL] [CONF]

[LOCAL] - temporally shifts data input from computer to AR8000 keypad

[FUNC][LOCAL] - activate settings menu

[PASS] [S SET] - frequency-channel skip / select scan / step offset

In SEARCH mode

[PASS] - pass a frequency [FUNC][PASS] - edit the passed frequencies

In MEMORY RECALL or SCAN mode

[PASS] - pass/recieve a channel

[FUNC][PASS] - register channel for select scan / view select scan channels

In 2VFO mode

[PASS] - edit the passed channels

[FUNC][PASS] - view select scan channels

[LAMP] - turns lamp on/off

[LAMP] - lamp stays on for five seconds

[FUNC][LAMP] - keeps lamp on untill [LAMP] is pressed again
