My Dad the creator of this site went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 11, 2004. I will now dedicate this site to my dad Greg Hansen.
Greg: This site is dedicated to my dad, Bernard Hansen, who moved into
his heavenly mansion with our Lord Jesus Christ on October 1, 1998.
Hi there! My name is Mr. Hansen, a.k.a. Jag4Jesus. I would like to welcome you to Math Shack. The most popular attraction to this site is the Math Question of the Week. I challenge you to try to get your name onto the Math Shack Honor Roll, or if you are really ambitious, the Math Shack Hall of Fame! Sometime before you leave this site, I hope you will take a break from the math for a few minutes and find out more about what makes this old geezer tick; you can do this by clicking on one or more of the four pictures below. (Don't pay attention to the warning that stupid monkey is trying to give you...plunge right in!!!) Try your hand at the Bible Quiz! If you like great scenic pictures, make sure to check out the newest addition to this site, "My 2002 Vacation." Thanks for coming!

Question of the Week!
Math Question #188
|
I took Chester's and Norm's picture recently up in Big Bear Lake, California. They are both real peanut lovers, but they don't eat all the peanuts on the spot. They take many of them back home and store them. Suppose that they each have a whole number of peanuts stashed away for the winter. Further suppose that 5/6 the number of peanuts in Chester's stash is the same amount as 3/4 of the number of peanuts in Norm's stash. If Chester and Norm were to combine their stashes of peanuts, what is the smallest whole number of peanuts possible for the total count? |
