The Canadian Pacific Railway Building (CPR Building) is located at 69 Younge Street. The building was built between 1911-1913. When it was completed in 1913, the building was the tallest building in Toronto, Canada, and the British Commonwealth. The CPR building rises 18 stories, and was designed by Darling and Pearson, Architects. The building was designed in the Renaissance Revival style. The building is divided by pilasters. The pilasters rise past the top level, and terminate as towers(pinnacles). The CPR building was covered in Stanstead granite. The building was renovated in 1929-1930, and the building was refaced in grey brick. The CPR building is one of the three early skyscrapers that are located at King and Younge Streets.
