Hello from Dallas Texas, I started flying R/C Choppers in 1985.
My first helicopter was the Shuttle, A very nice chopper for the
beginner.
The radio is a Futaba 6 channel PCM with 5 FP-S148 servo's
with a Futaba rate gyro to control yaw. The powerplant is a
OS-.32F heli.
the aircraft was and still is made by Hirobo and distributed by MRC at
the chopper I have is now really out of date and needs to be
replaced with a new updated version.
I also have a X-Cell 60 model 1001 on the work bench.
I started building my kit in 1993 and haven't even finished it
but I want to get back into the swing of things and get it
flying.
This helicopter in my opinion is the best chopper on the market,
this bird is fully airobatic and is smooth as silk when setup right.
I have not picked out a powerplant or radio for the X-Cell yet.
I am planning to use the X-Cell for picture taking, the CCD camera's
on the market today are excellent for this, I am in the prossess
of making a mount that will pan and tilt so the helicopter can stay in level
flight, it will mount to the nose of the aircraft.
The X-Cell is made by Miniature Aircraft USA.
