WELCOME
The Civil Air Patrol has, for more than 50 years, performed the missions Congress mandated in 1946: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs, and Emergency Services.  The Wright brothers flight started an era which kindled a love of flight that continues today. The second World War showed how important a role aviation would play in the future and the leaders of our country saw the importance of stimulating public interest in aerospace education.  Civil Air Patrol, as the official Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, was most suited to perform this function. Their efforts focused on two different audiences: CAP members and the general public.
Civil Air Patrol has more than 53,000 members. Youngsters (age 12-21) and adults (age 18 up) comprise the cadet and senior membership. They come from all walks of life -- from police chiefs to schoolteachers, from big cities to small towns. They share the common bonds of service to their community and a love of aviation.
Members receive training and participate in a variety of activities ranging from missing aircraft searches to aerospace          education presentations at local schools.
If you would like more information on becoming a member of Westover Composite Squadron, please join us on a meeting night or contact us via email.
We look forward to meeting you.
