My Songs

Welcome to my Artistic side
The following songs, or pieces of poetry were all written by my own fair hand (as opposed to someone else's unfair one!)

THE ONE was my attempt at writing an evangelistic song similar to those written by my favourite Christian artists like Delirious, Jars of Clay, and Nervous Passenger. These days, I'm thinking of arranging it for one the rock-gospel choirs I'm in.

A POEM AND A PRAYER is exactly what it says in the title. Written at a time when I was pretty down, and wanted to feel assured of God's closenes to me, and His purposes for me.

THE SONG THAT DOESN'T RHYME is exactly that, and was written in the middle of the night during a bout of insomnia. It's about God's amazing forgiveness,

FOR A FRIEND was written for a friend of mine when I heard the relationship he was in had broken down. I've been through that too, and wanted him to know he wasn't alone.

I NEED YOUR HELP A song about failing to live a holy life, despite all your efforts, realising you need God's help to do so. Kind of inspired ny the World Wide Message Tribe song, "Hypocrite"

CTRL + ALT + DELETE A poem all about sinning and it's consequences. There's supposed to be more verses, but they haven't been written yet. And yes, the spelling mistakes ARE intentional.

A GOOD MAN A song about unrequited love, written in Secondary School (that's High School for any non-Brits) about the girl who sat in front of me in Higher Chemistry.

WEB OF ATTRACTIVENESS Do I fancy her ? Does she fancy me ? Am I picking up the wrong signals ? Do I need a relationship, or am I trying to copy others..

rANdOm Written in an attempt to curb boredom during a seminar, this poem is truly random. If you can work out what it all means, you win a prize.

DOORHINGE (WHY ?) a song about all those inexplicable mysteries in life. This poem is subject to change when more things happen, as long as they go in pairs, and rhyme.

THE PERFECT WOMAN A poem about forbidden love, that speaks to the reader on so many different levels.

AMBER NECTAR a poem about Scotland's real national drink.
