During the last days of 1997 I found some time to start this web site. Through that process I have come to realize that learning and applying HTML is not at all painful. Many people come to Geocities because they offer free space for one to create their own web site. Often the contents of the newly created web site are not fully developed as one learns the HTML code that is used to build the pages. It is not uncommon for a new site to post an "under-construction sign". For those of you who have ventured forth on the Net to abscond with a few under construction signs, and have encountered those that would have you sign a petition against it, take heart. Every website should have a little eye candy. I have to admit that during my search I was a bit surprised to discover a sub-culture of sorts that seems to have an obsession for these little images These are the kind of folks that might have 1001 campaign buttons hanging off of a single baseball cap on election day, but hey; that's Americana. On the opposite side, there is an even more impassioned group that would ban these harmless little sign posts altogether in the name of "Saving Bandwidth". How generous of them to take the time to think for the entire internet community. For my thoughts on the subject; click here.
