Lunar Eclipse 16~17 September 97

Wow! What a great harvest! Although I prepared only one roll of film, surprisingly all the photos turn out nicely.

Days before the Lunar Eclipse, the sky was very bad, raining, cloudy... whatever it is? It is really bad those days. But surprisingly on the morning of 16th September, things change......... the sky was great and so clear. I started to pray that hope we can have a nice clear sky for tonight. Then I prepare everything for tonight, films, my Dobs., aperture cardboard, camera, ...

Yes, I got it! Wow! Hoo! !

I reach USM at around 10pm, I know it was early but Cheng Guan (my friend) was earlier than me! So, we starts to plan for the night. I have only one roll of Fuji ASA 800 (36) in my hand and I say to him "I have to plan it nicely so that I can manage to catch the whole event in only one roll of film." Then I take out a blank white paper and draw a schedule. Everything is inside, include time, numbers of snap, exposure time and leave a space for some notes afterwards.

Then, we wait and wait and wait and ... ... ...

Oh there it is!

These pictures were taken by using Yashica Super 2000 SLR Camera with Fuji ASA 800 attached to my see my homemade Dobsonian Telescope and learn how to build your own homemade Dobsonian Telescope (f /6.68).
