Previously, I worked in the laboratory of Prof. Seiichiro Koda at The University of Tokyo Department of Chemical System Engineering investigating the Raman spectroscopy of reactions in supercritical water. I received my Ph.D. in August 1997 from The University of Michigan Department of Chemical Engineering. Under the direction of Prof. Phillip Savage, I have studied various concepts pertaining to the hydrothermal oxidation of organic compounds, called supercritical water oxidation (SCWO). In May 1992, I received my B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
