Everyone has joined this club to have fun flying R.C. Each member has the right to the maximum enjoyment of his hobby, and each member has the responsibility to help others to pursue the same objective. These airport regulations, based on common sense and safety, have therefore been enacted in order that each member may obtain maximum benefit from the flying site.
A. Ground Control
1. Automobiles must be parked in assigned areas to avoid congestion and blocking runways.B. Air Traffic Control2. Engine break-in, if necessary, will be restricted to an assigned area away from the pit area.
3. Aircraft motors should be started toward runway while in the pits. When engines are run up to full throttle, keep bystanders out of the propeller arc.
1. Frequency flags will be displayed on all transmitters, and no transmitter will be turned on unless frequency clothespin is in possession of operator. All transmitters will be kept in the transmitter impound while at the field. Return the transmitter and frequency clothespin to the impound promptly after each use.C. Guest Flying2. Pilots must stand in the areas designated while flying. Only pilots, spotters and instructors are permitted to stand in the pilot areas.
3. There shall be no flying over the pit or pilot area of any kind, landing patterns included. The deliberate buzzing of pit or spectator areas, or other acts endangering flying safety, is specifically prohibited. Low fly bys are not permitted closer to the pilots box than the center of the runway.
4. Airborne emergencies, such as loss of power, glitch, etc., should be called to the attention of other flyers by the pilot, and he shall be given immediate priority of airspace and runway for landing.
5. A landing aircraft has right of way over an aircraft taking off.
6. Runway and landing pattern will be determined by wind direction and all fliers will cooperate with each other for safe operation by remaining on the side of the runway within hailing distance of each other. Pit taxiway is not to be used for landing or take-off.
7. If the model must be carried out onto the runway, this intention must be previously announced to any other pilots. Members pursuing this practice must clear the runway promptly after the model is released.
8. Any person attempting to remove a model from the runway shall previously announce this intention to the other pilots.
9. No engine restarts shall be made on the runway.10. Hand launching must be done outside and away from the pits.
11. No more than 3 aircraft should be in the air at the same time unless prearranged between fliers. Beginning fliers should be given as much encouragement and airspace as possible, and if conditions warrant, should be allowed to fly without distraction of other aircraft.
