The November 1999 meeting of the MCRCC will be held on Wednesday the 10th at 7:00 PM in the Cook, Inc. building located at 925 So Curry Pike.
GENERAL: Attendance at last months meeting was 17.It is time again for nominations for club officers. If there are any of you who have aspirations of becoming a club political figure and help curb the Evil Empire, your ship has arrived.
Up for grabs this year are: VP position, NL Editor, Assistant NL Editor and Flight Instructor. If you are interested in any of these high-paying jobs please contact your local nomination committee of Bruce Hoffman and Dave Poland.
Voting will be conducted at this month’s meeting.
Because of everyone's hard work and efforts there will not be any increase in club dues for 1999. On a related note there are a lot of fellas out there who are active R/C pilots but do not belong to either the AMA or an affiliated club. If you know of any people that fall into this category please ask them to visit one of our club meetings and or become a club member.
Up for discussion again is where we will be having our yearly Christmas dinner, as I recall the last place that was mentioned was Chapman’s. If any of you would like to suggest an additional place please be sure to bring it up at the next club meeting.
Now that the flying season is about over most of you will be moving on to other things for the winter months. Be sure to take the time to tend to your models needs before you put it away for the winter. There are a lot of items that need to be looked at and repaired prior to next years flying season so you might as well address your planes needs now rather than later when you have forgotten about them.
Flush out the motor and add some good oil to prevent rust. Remove the tank and check for busted or cracked fuel lines. They don't last forever you know and don't forget those batteries either. If they are over 2 years old just pitch'em and get a new pack why risk it?
An event calendar can be accessed from the clubs Website. Please follow the link on the main page to get there. Anyone can use this Calendar and make a posting to a message board. The only requirement is that you join the Yahoo Groups and become a registered user. Its FREE and no personal information need be provided if you do not want it made public.
The message board is a GREAT place to post items you have for sale and make some general announcements.
There is also a photo album section there. Anyone can post a photo of what ever subject (model airplane club related please) they want! We have made several albums for you to add your photo... or you can make your own!
Please try to keep photos limited to 50k or less. We have only 5 meg of space available to post photos and it'll go fast.
If anyone would like to buy a Club shirt or hat please drop Rick a line. The shirts sell for $21.50 and the hats are $9.00.
