·       You will be receiving your Mission Manual today (the famous Red Folder).  Remember it goes everywhere with you.  It will have your Conduct Sheets and a letter.  Have the letter signed by a parent tonight, but leave it in the folder.

·       Astronaut PFT is Friday, November 3, 2000.  It will be first thing in the morning.  Below are the criteria for passing the PFT:

 

Complete at least one of the following events:

 

Curl-Ups (Sit-Ups)      23

Pull-Ups              3

 

Everyone must complete the mile run as shown below:

 

1 Mile Run          10:30 (min:sec)

 

 

Tasks of the Day (TOD)

 

1.    List all four phases of training in order.

2.    What is the goal of the Russell Space Team?

3.    Why do we do what we do on the Russell Space Team?

4.    What is a Conduct Sheet?

5.    What is an Incident?

6.    Name at least four things that could result in an incident on your conduct sheet.

7.    Why is it important for people on the Russell Space Team to have conduct that is a shining example for others to follow?

 

Discuss these questions with your teammates.  On a sheet of notebook paper, write the answers.  Do not write the questions.  Put your name on the paper and turn in to Erin Dean by tomorrow at 8:00 AM.  All papers turned in for Space Team must have the first and last name and homeroom teacher’s last name.
