·         If you plan to try out for the Astronaut Crew, then sign the Astronaut Candidate sheet posted on Mr. Laster’s door by the end of the day Thursday.  The PFT is Friday.  We do not have a specific time set for the PFT except that it will be during the school day sometime.  Be sure to be at school on time.  No late PFT’s will be given.  Be sure to wear your PE clothing.

·         Working Lunch for entire Space Team today.  That means you need to bring your lunch tray to the Science Lab today.

·         Learn all C and D acronyms/terms by tomorrow!  You should know all A and B acronyms now, but continue to drill yourself them.  Remember to make flash cards to facilitate your learning.  “Facilitate” means to make easier.

·         If you were absent Friday and missed the meeting, you missed a lot.  Be sure to pick up your Red Folder from me and team up with a teammate to debrief you.  “Debriefed” means to tell you about what happened—if you want to on Space Team you have to talk like you’re on Space Team!

·         Remember that Mission Success depends on everyone doing their job and “knowing their stuff.”  It’s not good enough for you to know something; your teammates must also know it.  If they don’t all know it, then you’re job isn’t done either!  Pull together!

Quote of the Day:

“Just fix your little problems and let’s light this candle!”

--Alan Sheperd, May 5, 1961, said over the radio as he sat inside the Mercury capsule waiting to be blasted off as America’s first person in space.  Mission Control had repeatedly delayed the launch because of different problems.  GO USA!
