Mot censuren: Against Censorship
Risto Koskien
Jag skriver detta på engelsa ty detta är av allmännt intresse.
Jag kommer nu att sätta mig ner och skriva om
mina upplevelser igår du får dem senare.
In Germany, the Nazis first came for the communists, and I did not speak
up, because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did
not speak up, because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I did not speak up, because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came
for the Catholics, and I did not speak up, because I was not a Catholic.
Then they came for me... and by that time, there was no one to speak up
for anyone.

There are discussions about censorship in our organization to be. This
is according to me, a threat. So i am writing this as a person, every single
line written here is my own personal opinions, and only i Risto Koskinen,
will take personal responsibility for this. At the same time i would like
every single person, sharing or not sharing my ideas, to write about this
so we can start a debate. If we do not then i'm afraid those able to see
the future will decide on our behalf. Because i belive only those with this
gift can see the consequences of a free debate, i am not one of them. I
can read, so i can see what the history can tell us, i can speak so i can
tell what i have read.
We can all remember the old Soviet regime, because there was no free speech,
there was silence. If someone, and there was always someone, spoke aginst
the regime, he was able to continue that speech in a Gulag. The regime thought
that their state was the best form imaginable, if someone thougt different
then he/she couldn't understand and was put in rehabilitaition, otherwise
the ideas shown came from abroad and were acting against the state in an
attempt to dissolve the main structures, because this was an criminal act.
There was no future for this person. Non of us could see, that those persons
acting for the right for free speach would actually change the future for
that state, and it came unbelivingly suddennly.
The lesson to learn according to me, is that every organization trying to
act against free speech is digging it's own grave.
Our policy in Sweden is to be open minded in an open society, and that means
to promote free debate, to promote free speech.
Furthermore there was once a great guy who said, something like, who is
the person to throw the first stone, who is so without sin so he can judge
over his human fellows. I believe Censorship is like throwing stones, someone
has to decide what is good and what is bad, Who is that person who can see
the future, and who is the one believing that her/his opinions are the only
accepable ones.
If someone get's hurt because of non censorship. There are possiblities
to act in defence for those people. All of us defending free speech must
act in defence for those persons attacked in the name of free speech. We
must act in solidarity, we must act because we are all humans, and if we
do not act then we can start to discuss seriously, to act against the right
for free speech an censorship. But then i belive there will be nothing to
discuss because at that time there are no people remaining, there are people
looking like humans without human feelings without the fundamental humanvalue.
Then there will be no society there will be no me, because without you there
is no me.
