We repatriated to the U.S. in July of 1999, and took one last walk through Red Square in June. The weather was perfect for pictures!!

Bill & Peggy's Excellent Adventure in Moscow!

This is St. Basils cathedral from the side. Most pictures of this are from the front, but we found that all sides of the building have very interesting architecture.

Another picture of St. Basils from the side, and you can see the Kremlin clock tower in the background to the right.

We also went inside St. Basils which was a great experience. To actually walk around inside with all the nooks and crannies that you can find was a blast! Also you get a real feel of how old the building is inside.

This is St. Basils from the back.

This is the Kremlin walls and the clock tower main entrance.

Bill and Peggy next to St. Basils.

An interesting icon display on St. Basils, most people don't see this because you have to walk past the trees and it is on the side of the building.

Back of St. Basils.

More interesting architecture at St. Basils. Again, most people don't see this part of the building.

Same shot with the clocktower in the background.

I just love this architecture, you get a real sense of how old the building is from here..

Send me an email if you want to know more!!
