TEXT OF TERM OF REFERENCE 6) PART 8 OF DECEMBER 16, 1987 REGISTERED LETTER TO THEN-PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA PIETER W. BOTHA:

viii.

I dedicate my book to--

All the forgotten victims of war throughout history,

My parents, who struggled in World War Two and survived
to make this a still better world,

Anwar el-Sadat, whose death showed how important his life was,

The Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Stephen Biko
--and the individuals who gave their lives in the struggle for peace and human rights,

The Most Reverend Desmond Tutu and all South Africans who survive today,
who desire a still better world, but who are denied their dignity and dreams,

and

The world's children, recalling that Matthew 5:9 of the Holy Bible states:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God."
