The purpose of this page is to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the Antichrist spoken of in Daniel and Revelation is "alive and well" and is even now beginning to grow in power as "The Littlehorn" of Daniel 8:9 I believe that the evidence to support this statement is great enough to warrant a careful search of the scriptures concerning him and the beginnings of his rise to power. There are many theories concerning the "anti-christ" it seems almost everyone {including me} has an opinion on "who" he is; and "where" he comes from. One of the more popular theories is that he comes from the European Union. This theory is popular because most biblical scholars believe that he will rise from the "old Roman empire." It is important to note that the "Old Roman empire" consisted of far more than Europe, the empire spread through out most of civilization at the time. However, it is easy to see why people would hear "Roman" and think Europe. I will try and dispel this theory. The final proof of the Antichrists' identity, as always, is to be found in scripture - the "acid test" so to speak; we will try and look through scripture and break it down. Before we explore how the antichrist will rise to power (or has risen to power in my oponion) it is helpful to understand the significance of the number 666. The "Omen" movies would lead you to believe that the antichrist has a tattoo of "666" somewhere on his body. I think this is done more for effect than factual. It never says he has a tattoo. Here is what it says concerning the "666." 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. If six is the number for secular or human perfection, then 66 is a more emphatic expression of it; 666 is therefore the concentrated expression of it. 666 is therefore the "trinity" of human perfection, the perfection of imperfection; the culmination of human pride in independence of God and opposition to his Christ. Whoever this person is finally shown to be; appearness not withstanding; he will be the most dangerous person this world has ever seen. Remember, he will not show up with "horns" sticking out of his head. He will arrive on the scene as a "peacemaker" in the Middle East. He will bring a peace, albeit a "false" peace to the volatile situation that we now see over there. He will eventually be taken over by (posessed) satan. Revelation 13:5-7 "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things, and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given unto him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Now, in the Book of Daniel he is referred to as the "little horn" in chapter 7:8 and 8:9. "Little horn means a how of small beginnings, and these verses establish the locality of his beginnings, and the first things that he will do before the six things of Revelation 13 are given unto him. Note especially Daniel 8:9 "It(the little horn)waxed (grew and became)exceeding great, towards the south,(Egypt)East (Babylon and Persia) and towards the pleasant land (Israel). Also, it must be understood at this point that the 4 beasts and kings mentioned in Daniel chapter 7-11 are "continuous" one after the other; until we arrive at the last beast or kingdom - which I believe is just beginning to come into power. In verse 11:21 we read "And in his estate shall stand up a vile person." A "vile person" is another name for the antichrist. Now, I know that some people will say that people will not know who the antichrist is until after the body of Christ is "gathered together" according to 2Thess 2:1-8. While it is very important to understand what a particular scripture says; it is equally important to understand what it is NOT SAYING. It is emphatically not saying that no one will know who the "little horn" is. Please note that the term "little horn" is only used in the Book of Daniel and it refers specifically to the beginnings of the growth of the antichrist in power. In the Book of Daniel he is not referred to as the "man of sin" or "that wicked one." These terms are exclusively used in 2 Thess and are referring to the revelation to the world of the nature of his character, not necessarily to the fact that no one knows him or who he is at all. In conclusion then, 2Thess 2:1-8 has nothing to do with the rise to power, or the very beginnings of the rise to power of the person who will eventually be known as "the beast with 10 horns." There has to be a beginning to anyones' rise to power, and God has not left ignorant those who wish to know of this most important series of events. The facts fit with all the details revealed in Daniel.
In Daniel's vision of the end of Gentile world-dominion, the former Roman empire referred also as the "iron kingdom" will have 10 horns (kings) corresponding to the 10 toes of the image. As Daniel interprets the vision he sees the 10 horns(kings) he sees one rise up among them a "little horn" (king) who uproots 3 of the other kings and takes over their kingdoms. Giving the "little horn" much more power. Now, 7 of the ten "horns" are left, plus the "little horn". Now, keep in mind that many peole hear the word Roman empire and assume that the antichrist will come from Rome or Europe as that is what they picture when they hear "Roman empire". When the European common market was formed a few years back, everybody jumped and thought this was the 10 "horns" or "kings" referred to in scripture... nope. There are now 15 "horns" I think. A few problems with that theory, one it is not focused on the main stage; being Israel and the Middle East. Remember, the coming "antichrist" will be accepted by the Jews as their "deliverer" it will not be some european guy!! Heck, they didn't accept Jesus the first time, I doubt that they will accept somebody from outside their region. Remember, this coming antichrist will play a major role in settling a "peace" in the Middle East, he will also be the one who allows for the "daily sacrifices" to resume in the Holy Temple; 2 things that have not happened in thousands of years. He does this in order to deceive the Jewish people once again. If you are looking at what is going on today in the Middle East between the Israeli's and the Palestinians, there is not much doubt that we could be on the verge of this happening. Pay close attention to "who" plays the biggest role in a possible "peace treaty." As this will be the guy!! All the pieces are in place for the "little horn" to do his work now, their is a person who fits the description. This person, is the King of Jordan; King Abdullah of Jordan. The son of King Hussein who died in 1999. The current king of the old Hashemite Kingdom "He who has ears to hear will hear."
