FAITH Seek And Find

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart". (Jer.29:13)

In this most important scripture, God challenges us to seek Him out, and assures us of the outcome if we do. Acceptance leads to finding He who lives in the fulfillment of His word as being His bond. Find Him keeping His word, and you've found someone you can trust ...someone to believe in ...someone in whom to have FAITH.

FAITH

"For by grace, are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast". (Eph.2:8,9)

Salvation is dependent upon Faith and the channel to FAITH is by hearing the word of God.

"Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God". (Rom.10:17)

The word FAITH in English, by definition means belief. The Greek word is PISTIS. This word, chosen by God, has a more in depth meaning. PISTIS (Faith) is defined as an ACTION, based on a belief, supported by a confidence.

The meaning of having FAITH is the action you take, based on your belief, supported by the confidence you get when you accept the challenge, and do the seeking for yourself. The action becomes the confident acceptance of the unmerited gift of salvation, based on the beliefs acquired during the search conducted.

In this way one can truly live faith, because you have independently explored the subject to a level of understanding that permits your actions to be based on your findings.

The search begins where the word is left. In Scripture.

Jesus is Lord

"God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent, hath He said, and shall He not do ? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" (Num.23:19)
