• Dec28-2008--pervez elahi denies meeting nawaz sharif and many say the meetings in dubai were actually with musharaf who cannot participate in politics in pakistan...nawaz sharif and pervez elahi returned on teh same flight and obviously that cannot be a coincidence...pervez elahi said that nawaz sharif would have to change his policy of being in and out of government...many say the PMLQ will accomodate the PMLn in the senate elections...there has always been the view that nawaz sharif and teh chaudhries have been hand in glove with musharaf but the situation prevented teh chaudhries from falling into the PMLn camp before teh elections which shujaaat had promised to do...teh PMLq had started to think that they could win with musharaf but that did not happen...many suggest that musharaf advised them not to pay any heed to what the PPP leaders say...
• Dec28-2008--The dawn says the pakistani system of social welfare is not enough to help or protect the poor..a lot of zakat money is diverted to organisational funding which can be met from other resources...nobody knows what happens to bait ul maal funds and there is some sort of food stamp scheme in the punjab..both lack transparency.....the BISP is still not very clear and whether it is helpful or transparent...maybe teh government should cancel all social welfare schemes including those for government and private workers and pool everything with an across teh board 2.5% tax to generate funds and really protect teh poor...at the moment only a very small portion of sunnis pay the zakat tax...
• Dec27-2008--As indian hostile moves continued pakistan moved to beef up its forces and cancel all army leaves...some troops were pulled out from snow bound but insurgent areas...pakistan moved to beef up sialkot and lahore areas but has not asked villages to vacate as yet...india advised citizens not to visit pakistan after supposed arrests of indian agents...in pakistan many intellectuals thought to be on teh RAW payroll started to back down as indians could not substantiate their allegations..reports of indians having identified 5000 places to bomb...pakistan apparently ready to retaliate if teh indians initiate any hostilities...pakistan says all its actions in response to indian moves...
• Dec27-2008-- benazirs first anniversary seems to have come very quickly with a year of little else but politics and a do nothing PPP regime...security precautions at benazirs liaqat bagh rally were almost non existent...dawn report says quoting Dr abbasi that there was firing from several sides and that benazir died almost instantly...many suggest that teh government has identified a chain of people responsible with many suggesting that many of them had already been taken care off...The UN can hire any sort of expert to investigate such issues but it has not moved yet on the pakistani petition which at best is complicated and not a simple murder technically..the army had tried to turn it into an unfortunate accident but nobody bought that angle.........nor has there been any confirnation of teh baitullah mehsud telephone or any investigation to links into the tribal areas...direct or indirect military or political involvement since elimination of major political opponents was a government policy...the PPP also does not say where their information on threats came from...whether the vehicle went to raja bazaar after teh incident or chandni chowk both pathways usually have heavy traffic...how a vehicle whose tires must have been damaged went even a small distance....

• Dec10-2008--The pakistani government which has been at teh receiving end from indian controlled insurgencies in various parts of pakistan plus teh stopping of river waters has moved onto the back foot with the two top men literally unable to find anything coherent to say...asif zardari seems to have a double personality of an indian and pakistani and he said that the bombay gunmen actually attacked pakistan while yusuf gilani said that the indians desire to ban teh dawa was being considered...the president and primeminister would be best advised to work for pakistans interests rather than showing divided loyalties...responsibility as an individual nation is meaningless if india does not behave properly...having better relations with neighbours like india is not possible...negotiations since teh sixties have shown that teh indians turn turtle whenever they have to sign on teh dotted line..while it has also been shown that lack of progress on kashmir inevitably results in some terrorist pro pakistan or pakistani group in going for a daring action whatever teh results...The LT is not known to create problems in pakistan while teh jaish mohammeds men have been said to be involved in actions in the lal masjid, swat and even in the tribal areas..recently teh LJ has also been shown tobe moving into the suicide bombers field...many are suggesting that the pakistani armed forces should also be willing to fight for pakistans interests rather than only defending them...many militant groups have proliferated because pakistan's army is not willing to fight for its views and policies...no other country has the policy of not allowing the use of its soil for attacking its enemies...pakistan should many suggest refrain from friendly overtures or even the hugely unbalanced trade or supply of gas until major issues are settled with india...otherwise whatever teh government does such actions will keep occurring as the militant groups will think that the pakistani government is not willing to stand up for itself...and the people have to do things of such a nature on their own...

As to pakistan doing something in teh timeframe being mentioned as a threat is inappropriate as according to a former ISI chief teh supposedly anti american hamid gul says they have seen no faces or bodies yet...?hamid gul tried to come across as pro american in teh fareed zakari interview as the americans could possibly want his assets seized...the previous government had literally shutdown hamid guls transport bussiness(on american advice)...however hamid gul seemed a bit naive on whether ossama ben laden was behind 9/11..he supported theories of israeli direction/involvement..he also pointed out that teh afghans have not been involved in terrorism internationally barring pakistan..so the USA should withdraw from there...Ossama in his initial interview or reaction did not seem to know about 9/11...but in recent times al qaeda has taken months to verify its own involvements...many however doubt the indian versions of teh bombay incident..

• Dec4-2008--Even teh disabled want seats in parliament...the present parliament at the moment a rubber stamp for asif zardari and yusuf gilani should start taking up problems of the people such as electricity prices, load shedding and teh needless increase in gas prices...all such measures are inflationery and run counter to the IMF program which supposedly should be deflationery in the light of falling oil prices...

• Dec3-2008--India seems tobe making an attempt to subdue the wobbly pakistan government headed by an unpopular personality by constantly spreading false insinuations and information...no public info yet on the other militants...possibility that some may have escaped and that india is covering up to prevent leaks...reports of indians having captured a pakistani trawler which might also be a usual fishing boat...if the terrorists had been imparted an years commando training they would have looked muscular...they looked as if they were street fighters from karachi or bombay itself...all that they might have trained for is how to locate the places and what to do...they obviously might have been told to do and escape but got embroiled in a personal fight...in such cases they should have trained as suicide bombers who would have been more effective rather than the create mayhem by firing and continue until u die...the phone calls theory also seems based on an earlier phone call as the poor guys would have had little time to dial and get new instructions as things got rough or reached an unanticipated stage...if trained properly they would have known what todo and nobody usually phones in during an operation...india seems to want pakistan to provide further details and wants to provide no information itself...indians should know that it could be anybody as recently they have been harassing christians too apart from kashmiris, muslims and assamese and obviously the BJP extremists could do anything to..it could also be teh USA or india itself..trying to create 9/11 for itself..since it was so popular in teh uSA and britain.........they also seem to want all of those that they wanted pakistan to extradite previously..pakistan usually has only done that for the uSA...The pakistan government sought the protection of other political leaders on the issue who readily obliged...If the indians had prior information they should have at least put some sort of lookout on possible sea intrusions...like the indians pakistan too can mount preemptive strikes if they know of some possible threat so going down that lane is dangerous...however as far as pakistan is concerned kashmir is not a part of india otherwise they would not have killed kashmiris on such a mass scale...the indians myopia and smallness of mind is already showing as now they do not want to even talk...even previously pakistan was doing little more than following palateable indian orders...also claims by israelis show that many might have died at teh hands of indian security forces as they were acting without restraint

• Dec2-2008--India without providing any clear intelligence wants pakistan to act on mostly concocted stories demanding the handing over of dawood ibrahim and masood azhar...stories about navy ships being used also denied...the indian media's attitude was described as literally wild and provocative as a hindu correspondent was shown on geo television shouting incoherently that training was provided in mansehra by chacha rehman and that all the evidence was there etc.etc...what training is needed in mansehra is difficult to understand as all the militants needed was being brainwashed and how to use a kalashnikov and hand grenade...the name of teh surviving terrorist also seems suspiciously unpakistani...teh indians should gather all the evidence and than bring the file to pakistan with their top investigator to see what pakistan can do about it...zardari's offer of unconditional assistance seems almost like yusuf gilanis offer to send teh iSI chief...many suggest that raw agents immediately started to destabilize karachi after teh action...pakistan however suggests that despite the procrastinations and baseless accusations of teh indian media and top leaders the indian foreign office has been very proper about it...the indian inelligentsia has been shown tobe very anti pakistani and teh pakistani government and diplomats have been fooled into thinking that teh indians are a docile accomodative peopel...there is nobody to ask them why they killed 20-40000 innocent kashmiris and now are crying about literally a drop in teh ocean comparatively...

• Dec2-2008--The process that has gone nowhere that is the solution of teh kashmir issue also called as the peace process suffers says teh dawn...the peace process was just a meaningless route to indian subjugation without referring or talking about anything real...it just means that the opening of three land routes to india for trade will take longer until the indian sulking ends...usually it takes years for teh indians to end sulking...one would suggest that pakistan ask for clear cut concessions on kashmir in exchange for dawood ibrahim...it would be a help if teh indians started tobe nice to visa seekers and kashmiris and pakistanis for a change..
