Nov30--In a continuous demonstration of its inability to tolerate dominant politicians the military threw out the family of Shabaz Sharif which had arrived in lahore after being fedup with living in saudi arabia...The militaries facial peace with rival politicians is also said to end with the resolution of the afghan crisis..Musharaf is going to up the tempo with a renewed attempt to get the controlled judiciary to jail benazir..In general the military/musharaf is said tobe fedup with trying to maintain a facile attempt at national solidarity which had even the likes of Benazir Bhuttos PPP fooled into cooperation...
Nov30--The interior ministry/musharaf they say are very happy at the massacre of pakistani supporters of teh taliban in mazar e sharif..Musharaf reportedly when queried by the US expressed his sataisfaction at the elimination of the pakistani taliban who are opposed to his governement...Other ministry sources express joy at the turmoil in afghanistan which had given courage to many in pakistan to fight the military govt as well as keep up the sectarian violence..The pakistani interior ministry believes that many of lashkara e jhangvis terrorists including the notorious Riaz Basra live in afghanistan.. Nobody can however explain where the shiite sectarian killers reside who are ussually just equally untraceable...In the last ten years 1865 shiites and 810 sunnis were killed in pakistans sectarian violence...There has been no sectarian incident in the last two months says The News as everyone focuses on afghanistan including the military rulers who have often been charged with inciting /participation in sectarianism...
Nov28--Fighting goes on around kandahar as musharaf changes his position on the northern alliance...Musharaf who previously regarded the northern alliance as an enemy now says his govt is in contact with the northern alliance and that the future govt in kabul will be friendly to pakistan..? This might be seen in the light of the cruel treatment of pakistanis by the northern alliance and todays firing on a pakistani border position..

Nov27--Benazirs visit to india is causing controversy in pakistan where she has suggested that all foreigners including sindhis and indians should stop interfering in kashmir...She has also called for a dialogue rather than negotiations on kashmir..her urging the indians to call for the removal of musharaf's dictatorship is seen in contrast to her parties support for musharaf on afghanistan and relations with teh USA..Benazir is being perceived locally as closer to musharaf as her party supports musharafs international agenda but not his personal vendetta against politicians...Musharaf in the recent past has released all politicians apart from those belonging to Benazirs PPP thus proving his own and teh armies bias against her and her party...
