Nov11--Speaker national assembly refuses to allow prayers for the dead in bajaur and dargai...it is the general impression that the military actions in killing people thru helicopter gunships is not only illegal but akin to murder as it is not approved by any elected leadership...musharaf as the army chief or the corp commanders cannot either create his\their own policies or go to war on their own...the army inside the country is not even authorized self defence actions....killing people as in bajaur without judicial consent is illegal...the army if it breaks the ceasefire/agreements will only cause severe retaliations many suggest...
Nov11--the pakistan armies illegal actions are continuing to cause reactions...a rocket landed on the roof of the balochistan provincial assembly and in south waziristan a tribal elders vehicle blew up in a remote explosion killing four...another elder was fired upon and a military contractor kidnapped in front of soldiers
Nov11--musharaf who yesterday portrayed that the mullahs islam was somehow different from his(sort of shiism)..today brazenly suggested that he was actually a peace loving sufi...he obviously misunderstood iqbal who propagated the oneness not of govenance but of god...most of the problems in pakistan result from military suppression of diverging points of view or pluralism and not allowing politicians who refuse tobe controlled by the military...pakistan thus becomes a hodge podge of governing systems with decision making restricted to one man in this case an aging coup plotter...this paralyses governance with provincial governments unable to decide whether they are incharge of policing or the army...
Nov11--the supreme court has set a deadline for dec1 for details of missing men generally supposed to have been abducted by teh ISI...what the SC will do after that is unknown...
The MI5 or british intelligence suggests that over 30 terrorist plots are underway in the UK with pakistani links....which are caused by perceptions of injuctice towards muslims worldwide...while the british are willing to act against criminal actions they regard the perceptions of injustices to muslims as mere propaganda...maybe the MI5 shold tell the primeminister how many muslims have died in palestine, iraq, afghanistan, kashmir, chechynya, yugoslavia...if the killing ratio is 1 soldier to say six iraqis than about 90000 iraqis should be dead which are probably more than those killed by saddam in his entire brutal dictatorship...

government again attempting to raise electricity tariffs despite falling oil prices...the soulution is to reduce IPP tariffs not raise rates...IPP's making huge profits and have paid of debts and must reduce rates to normal levels...wapda pays IPP's almost Rs 100 billion annually and there is a substantial room for reducing IPP rates...rates for used IPP power plants also set at an abnormally high level...another way is to declare one rate for all...and end all royalties and taxes...

Nov2--two MNA's from FATA have resigned over the Bajaur incident and many surmise that the government could be in for a spate of suicide bombibgs...there was an unusually strong reaction to the incident in bajaur and many consider musharaf's support of the killings as evidence of his mental instability/aberrations...there are also reports that musharaf has made arrangements in the USA for the purchase of land/house should he have to eave the country in a hurry...

nov1--the pakistan armies justification for killing over eighty people in bajaur looks flimsy at best...people are at a loss to explain who gave the military the right to kill pakistani citizens ...even if they were militants the military cannot take such action...the militaries own explanation at best suggests that the madrassa students were only carrying out regular light exercises...or calisthenics...how the military observed them learning to make bombs has not been explained...since they were only observing them from the sky...no weapons were visible...the COAS said that they were being observed for six or seven days while other sources said that they were being observed since july...something that could be easily handled by a ground operation has been deliberately mishandled by an apparently frightened pakistan army...it is being described as unpardonable and there have been violent demos in the area...such actions will only inflame the fight against the uSA in afghanistan and elswhere...
