Nov29--musharaf was finally kicked out of the army and that is the PPP's third success in kicking out a military regime...the PMLq was not able todo it in over nine years and Benazir has done it in a few months of her return...one hopes that the army will in future obey the rules in army appointments which have caused much internal mayhem because of a COAS who could not handle things...musharafs arrogance was the main problem...having no respect for ayone he ran roughshod over the constitution, judiciary and the countries politics..the army must understand that a primeminister can remove the COAS and it is not a sovreign country competing for the countries governance...it is funded by pakistan and its government to whom it has tobe subservient...coups and PCO's are illegal as are accepting other illegal acts of the army and its COAS...
Nov29--pakistan has a new COAS ashfak pervez kiani with the only bad thing being his middle name...a relatively milder person as far as we know he is probably the only ISI chief to graduate to the armies leadership...significant was the absence of the PMLq leadership from the handing over...a tiny stick with which he can beat militants but not politicians...the army generals for the first time all wore a khaki tinged with green uniform probably to show support for kiani...the army generals are used to wearing different uniforms and finally deciding on one uniform would go a long way to their becoming an army rather an agency to topple governments...

Nov8--people have started to study the strange mentality of the pakistan army especially those advising musharaf...they have issued an illegal instrument a PCO in the presence of a sitting captive national assembly which could easily have amended the political parties act and the army act to allow the army chief to participate in elections/politics...but instead they have chosen an illegal act of issuing a PCO to empower a seperate constitution amending person in effect an illegal martial law whatever the views of the supreme courts on such matters......reasons are unclear...the national assembly was cooperative and obviously there was no need of an emergency as the people were only exercising their fundamental right to free speech and were not obstructing the army or the executive barring areas of tribal rebellion...what musharaf seeks to achieve is a personal dictatorship and nothing else will be solved...musharaf has been given sufficient time to rule and he has not achieved success in any domain...a dictatorship and democracy cannot be mixed..elections of a dummy national assembly in the presence of a dummy supreme court is unfathomable and the objective can only be a dictatorship of the army chief...the pillars of democracy have to take into consideration the wishes of the people and the armies political views which have always been considered...a dictatorship of the army chief is obviously not consistent with a democractic system or aim..and is incompatible with a normal democratic system of governance...Even in countries that an army chief seizes power they continue in power as civilians and not as army chiefs...apart from totally uncivilized soceities...

Nov3--In what is being termed the work of a madman...musharaf as COAS issued the strangest provisional constitutional order since his validity as president is fraudulent and illegal...prempting a negative supreme court decision..late in the afternoon accusing the supreme courts of abetting terrorism he declared an emergency and PCO...cancelled the constitution and initiated a one man rule...keeping the dummy political system he immediately asked the judges to take a new oath...most of them refused with only four SC judges reportedly taking oath...five others were not available...the judge whose reputation as chief election commissioner was terrible abdul hamid dogar was named to head the supreme court after a seven judge panel declared the PCO and emergency unconstitutional...people were surprised to see the name of javed Buttar amongst those taking the oath under the PCO...a similar situation emerged in sindh where only six judges had taken oath until last reports...he obviously forgets that the pakistan army is not a law issuing authority and can now be said tobe the least law abiding organisation in pakistan..position of senior army officers said tobe dubious in supporting musharaf until last reports...musharaf could be moving towards an uncertain end as few would blame the SC for the countries situation which is mostly blamed on the army and militants...Aitzaz Ahsan a top lawyer and president SCBA arrested...whether it will have any effect on militant agitation uncertain as it had little todo with the SC...
Nov3--PAF only agreed to blast mullah dadullahs house after they bombed PAF bus...others say pakistan army attacked PAF bus after they refused to bomb..there might be conflict between military and PAF as musharaf has not given CJCOSC position to either navy or airforce on two consecutive occasions...others say militants blasted first group of pilots who were assigned to bomb dadullahs house...!!?

Nov29--musharaf says people unaware of armies role in security and development...well if that is the case after thirty years of army rule there must be something wrong in the armies role or what it is doing...pakistans security has been enhanced by scientists not the army..seeing how they fight rag tag bunches of militants one becomes acutely aware of the armies weaknesses...how they will be able to fight a proper army is byond imagination..if the pakistan army had been a real fighting force things would have been very different in the region and they would have been able to take care of problems at least in afghanistan if not elswhere...the army has failed to realize that its weak offensive capabilities make it literally a white elephant for pakistan ..its use has become limited to fighting internal mutinies and secessions..
Nov29--musharaf was finally kicked out of the army and that is the PPP's third success in kicking out a military regime...the PMLq was not able todo it in over nine years and Benazir has done it in a few months of her return...one hopes that the army will in future obey the rules in army appointments which have caused much internal mayhem because of a COAS who could not handle things...musharafs arrogance was the main problem...having no respect for ayone he ran roughshod over the constitution, judiciary and the countries politics..the army must understand that a primeminister can remove the COAS and it is not a sovreign country competing for the countries governance...it is funded by pakistan and its government to whom it has tobe subservient...coups and PCO's are illegal as are accepting other illegal acts of the army and its COAS...
Nov29--pakistan has a new COAS ashfak pervez kiani with the only bad thing being his middle name...a relatively milder person as far as we know he is probably the only ISI chief to graduate to the armies leadership...significant was the absence of the PMLq leadership from the handing over...a tiny stick with which he can beat militants but not politicians...the army generals for the first time all wore a khaki tinged with green uniform probably to show support for kiani...the army generals are used to wearing different uniforms and finally deciding on one uniform would go a long way to their becoming an army rather an agency to topple governments...
