• oct31--nwfp ji chief siraj ul haq resigns from nwfp cabinet as pakistan armys black face emerges to the countries eternal shame...apparently the pakistan army decided to kill maulvi liaqat ali before an agreement could be reached in the area...however locals suggest that initial attacks carried out by US drones while pakistan armies gunship helicopters just provided them cover...the total subjugation of the pakistan army is now apparent...there were no signs of any armaments or training equipment at the site...this coupled with other pakistan army-USA operations in the area show the moral bankruptcy of an army not under the countries control...the deaths were probably around 50 with about twenty young kids...the military spokesperson seemed unaware of what happened and was making up everything...obviously a settled area the army could easily have mounted a search operation rather than inhumanely killing people without thinking...
• Oct30--In what is being described as a horrific, barbaric act the pakistan army using gunship helicopters attacked a madrassa in bajaur agency and killed over 80 children in the age groups of 3-15...the pakistan army has apparently returned to the pre bangladesh period when it killed its own people at will...the pakistan army has fallen into the propaganda spread by westerners and the afghans that madrassa's were involved in training taleban...such madarassa's usually provide mosque handlers all over pakistan...with musharaf and corp commander peshawar both being shiites many are suggesting that army has become a component of teh countries sectarianism...it is almost similar to the zia ul haq regime which attacked shiites in the northern areas...obviously the army could easily have moved troops into the area and arrest the one or two taleban that might have been there but they preferred to use helicopter gunships to kill innocent children...this is probably worse than anything that the indians might have done in occupied kashmir...and is similar to what the USA is doing in iraq and afghanistan...musharaf has been unable to explain his policy to the USA and this is probably the result of a military dictatorship that shoots from the hip and has no love for its people and country...

• oct14--there are huge doubts if wapda can raise the illogical royalty payments on hydel production of over Rs50 billion annually calculated by an arbitration...The federal government will have to make the payments as wapda is already in loss and another Rs40 billion in payments would force a substantial raise in electricty prices...the only constitutional obligation is to pay royalties to nwfp and not net profits...a cap on payments in effect since 1991 is the only way out...as the Shaukat aziz government is no position to raise electricity prices...one other option is to double electricity prices in nwfp alone ...
