NarrationsHadrat Ali (raa) said, "Spending on a brother is better than giving alms to the poor. The 20 dirhams I give to my brother is better than 100 I give to the needy." Muhammad (saws) said, "Once I entered a thicket with a companion and gathered two toothpicks . One was crooked and one was straigt. Rasulallah (saws) gave the straight one to the companion. The companion said, "O messenger of Allah, you are more entitled to the straight one than I." Rasulallah (saws) responded, "When a comrade accompanies his comrade, even for one hour or one day, he will be asked to account for his companionship , whether he fulfilled his duty to Allah or neglected it." Muhammad (saws) also said, "Each time two are in company together, the dearer to Allah is he who is kinder to the other."
