Why do a slide show?

So that you can explain concepts to people.

unzip into  C:\SHOWME  as all other directories will not work!

Next you need to download and install  S_L I D_E   S_ H_O_W  U LT R A  G*O*L*D  3.9mB.

Download is not wasted! With SSUG you can make your own shows!
After installation   Click on  "Click here to register"    and enter:   tkd74c    and then click on EXIT
  It will then be registered (Illegally! You are irresponsible!). Then quit the Programme with   EXIT   OK.

Then double-click the C:\SHOWME\SHOWME.SSG file to start the show. Lean back and enjoy!

Why use this and not any other Software? Well, it uses Internet-standard file-types. So when you make a slide show, you can re-use the pictures&sound for the web, or use the web's pics&sounds for the show.  This is a GREAT labour-saving advantage!
These two file-types make a high-quality 20 minute slide show possible that fits on a floppy disk!
Here is the math:  Use a MP3-file with 8kbit/sec for a soundtrack (1kb/sec. x 1200seconds=20minutes=1200kb)
The remaining 240kb of a 1440kB floppy can be used for 48 pictures at 5kb each..

How to make a nice 8kbit MP3 audio-file? Record it with COOL96 (search for C96SETUP). Then use a freeware mp3 encoder!
To make small JPG pictures, use PaintShopPro or a similar Picture-Pixel-Manipulator-Program, resample your scanned images to 600pixels width (or thereabouts) and save them with near maximum JPG compression. You can do it!
Put all files into a single directory on the C: drive (everybody has a C:-drive!). Then use the SSUG program to make a slide-show script.
