The Territory of Lasteria is hereby admitted as a Province.
1. When the owner or majority shareholder of a business worth more than ~5 million takes office as a Governor, Deputy, Cabinet official, Supreme Court Justice, or the President, he or she must, for the duration of his/her term, turn over control of the corporate or company assets to another individual of the office holder's choosing to serve in an understanding of temporary stewardship. Upon conclusion of a term of office, the stewardship will be turned over to the original individual.
2. Public officals as described in Section 1 must disqualify themselves from participation in any government decisions concerning companies or corporations they at one time owned or had a majority interest in.
3. All contact with the companies or corporations must be severed during the duration of the holding of the office of Chamber of Deputies or Presidency.
4. Violation of the provisions of this statute shall be punishable by removal from public office,disqualification from holding public office for the period of one year and a fine of ~100,000.
PREAMBLE: To reinforce the Constitutional mandate for complete separation of church and state and, to promote religious freedom, the National Assembly of Cyberia hereby enacts the following legislation, to be entitled "The Religious Neutrality of Government Act of 1998."
Section 1: No government entity in Cyberia, including federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local entities, shall enact any legislation regarding any establishment of religion or religious belief or provide any form of government favoritism or financial support to any establishment of religion or religious belief.
Section 2: No government entity in Cyberia, including federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local entities, shall enact any religious belief or religious belief system as law, particularly such religious belief systems as seek to control or regulate voluntary acts between consenting adults.
Section 2.1: This section shall not apply to laws controlling behavior other than voluntary acts between consenting adults that are reflections of general moral principles that are widely accepted by society.
Section 3: No government entity in Cyberia, including federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local entities, shall officially display any religious symbols.
Section 3.1: No government entity in Cyberia, including federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local entities, shall use religious language in any representation of the state whose intent is to display a collective representation of the state.
Section 4: Violation of this statute by any government official at any level of government shall constitute sufficient grounds for removal of said official through the means normally used for such removal.
Section 1: The following Federal Judicial Districts shall be established pursuant to Article III, Section 4 of the Cyberian Constitution:
District 1 - Bava/Corli
District 2 - Lasteria/Menet
District 3 - Belar/Cyber City/Mattimeo
District 4 - Mala/Windsor
Section 2: Any Justices appointed by a President Pro Tempore shall only serve for the duration of the term of the President Pro Tempore unless approved by a majority of the Chamber of Deputies.
The official name of Cyberia's Capitol City is hereby changed from Cyber City to Kernsopolis.
