Conservative Party

Cyberia's Oldest Party was founded at the beginning fo the Commonwealth. Under the leadership of Layne, Harrop, and Rosen it took strong Conservative stands and drew 38% of the vote in the December elections. The party struggled to recover from the Cyberland exodus that followed by taking more moderate stands. The CP would not begin to recover until October, 1998 when it won 25% of the National Assembly vote, they came back in January,1999 to 31%. The CP was a member of the Federalist Coalition.

The CP continues to reorganize itself with new ideas for their party. In March, 1999 the CP issued a new platform which took strong pro-life and provincal rights stands. The CP had been without a real platform since the Layne-Rosen Era.

Socialist Party

Founded by Richard Pond in December of 1997, the Socialist Party won it's first victory when Pond was elected to his first Term as Bava Governor in December, 1997.

The Socialist Party before joining the UCCL was part of a leftist coalition including the Liberal Democratic Party and the Liberals. The Socialist Party has worked with other leftist parties for the passage of programs such as Cybercare.

In June, 1998, the SP received 1/3 of the vote, but after the Revolution, the SP total has sunk to 21% in both September's and January's parlimentary elections. They continue to struggle to regain strength, with rumors flying that they may align themselves with the CybDems to gain power.

Liberty Party

Founded by former CP and Liberterian Gary Ceres in October, 1998, this party seeks to bring all righists and centerightists in Cyberia together around a single philosophy of Liberty. The party takes stands on issues such as the Death Penalty, but to keep the party unity does not address issues such as gay rights and abortion in it's platform.

The LP has been successful in drawing former Members of the Liberal, Conservative, and Liberterian Party to it's ranks and in the January elections won 25% of the vote.

Cyberian Democrats

This party was founded to join together a mixture of former PFP members, Christian Democrats, Liberal, and others to the left of Center in Cyberia. This party is still working on a structure and a platform but their general philosophy is understood by most Cyberians as similar to that of the United States Democrats.

They are generally pragmatic liberals, and are lead generally by Cyberia's Founding Father. They work to prevent ideological dominance in Cyberia, citing that one ideology is never wholly perfect as a governing philosophy. The impact of this party is not yet known, but could be big. 1
