Dean has a B.S. in Public Policy and Social Planning from the College of Human Ecology, Cornell University. He currently is a doctoral candidate in Public Administration at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York University, concentrating on public policy, public finance, and criminal justice policy. He is Project Manager at the Governmental Accounting Standards Board in Norwalk, CT. By some odd twist of fate, GASB's websites became Dean's responsibility. They don't have a lot of bells and whistles, but he's pleased with how they have progressed in the year since he joined GASB, and they are definitely information dense, which certainly appeals to people in his field.
