* Admitting that the actions Paula Jones alleged Clinton had taken in her presence were perhaps 'boorish and offensive,' Judge Wright saw no 'enforcable compulsion' involved, and ruled that Jones' attornies had demonstrated 'no detrimental conduct' arising out of them, and that there had been 'no outrage under Arkansas law.' Outrageous conduct is not enough as a basis for such an action, even though the case was actually over violation of Ms. Jones' civil rights. It was therefore 'not legally actionable.' But even given this, Clinton is hardly 'off the hook' on this matter or a great number of others. An additional item of import out of Africa concerning Clinton involves his utter disregard for not just Catholics, but for any standard of conduct or protocol except what his machine thinks looks good. Having not long ago come out of an audience with the Pope and telling everyone that he had been able to get the His Holiness to 'compromise' on abortion, in Africa he even took Holy Communion at a Catholic Mass. Such behavior is not just inappropriate, but it is a slap in the face of the Church and all Catholics who adhere to the Church's teaching. He might next decide it is appropriate for him to visit Great Mosque at Mecca. Return to text of article 1
