The owner of Wal*Mart spent millions
to fund the California Voucher Inititive.
The voucher system is opposed by teachers
and others who support the public education system,
a system which continues to serve all young people,
regardless of disability or disadvantage.

Wal*Mart is also being boycotted
because of development practices
that destroy valuable historic or natural resources
and put long-time local stores out of business.

Yet a third reason Wal*Mart is boycotted
is that they engage in unfair labor practices.
