· Reformed regulation of municipal sludge to reduce odors
· Changed ballot language to reflect tax implication
· Named portion of highway for Walter "Smoky" Alston
· Required new member of Lottery Commission to represent problem gamblers
· Secured $200,000 for development of new crops
· Required Regents to coordinate facility needs for 2012 Olympics
· Department of Education will now prepare student personal financial guides
· Wrote standards for rural electric delivery

· Created special license plate for abused children
· Required all school contracts to be fiscally sound
· Required welfare recipients to reimburse county for training

· Required expulsion for possession of firearms in schools
· Created arbitration procedures for property owners adjacent to landfills
· Reduced remarriage penalty of survivor benefits for state pension enrollees
· Reformed public construction. Saves the state 22 million dollars a year
· Created study committee to examine damage by wildlife on crops

· Created enterprise zone agreements for abandoned school buildings to create jobs
· Drafted successful language to allow aquaculture to move into 20th century
