NOT INTERESTED IN POLITICS? YOU'D BETTER BE!

Copyright © 1996 By Ray Thomas

Somebody once said: All that it takes for evil to win is for good people to do nothing. And nothing is what you're doing if you ignore politics.

Sure -- it seems at a glance to always be politics as usual, with politicians posturing and getting their graft, but nothing ever really getting done. This tends to disgust you and make you want to ignore the whole thing. I've heard many people say: I never argue religion or politics, which tends to relegate the important realm of politics and reason to the same theater as faith and religion. Now this isn't a cut at religion, but its entire basis for argument is faith, not logic, which makes it impossible to intelligently argue on a logical base. Further, the suffering you'll do if you make a wrong decision is not in this life, but in the next.

POLITICS IS BASED ON LOGIC

The very term: politics was invented by politicians. It is meant to demean the entire practice and is used as a means to get people to ignore what they (politicians) do. This is because when you ignore what the politicians and bureaucrats are doing to you, there is no way you're ever going to be able to stop them until it's too late. And this is what they want. As long as the people ignore what they're doing -- for whatever reason -- there are no controls on them and they can do whatever they wish.

SOMETHING'S WRONG

I've noticed a trend: something that has been wrong in this world for a long time that not too many people took the time to notice, which could be deadly to their freedom even to their lives. What has been wrong is the drive in this country toward collectivism where some people think their need entitles them to a part of the earnings of others. I noticed this trend many years ago and, at the time, did my best to combat it with lots of talk and the publication of many pamphlets, the purpose of which was to help stop what was being done.

APATHY

But after several years of making the attempt to reach people with this message, I gave up because of the apathy I saw (I was young). I was so disgusted that for many years I went out of my way to ignore any reference to "the conspiracy" and the things it was doing to bring us ever closer to world government.

INVESTIGATION

I had studied, during the period previous to my estrangement, everything I could get my hands on about it, including John Stormer's "None Dare Call It Treason," and "The invisible Government." I also read "None Dare Call It Conspiracy," which I thought was a basic book in that it detailed what the international banks and financiers were doing to move us closer to international government as they financed both sides of every war in the last hundred years. I wrote many letters to the editor. I haunted the American Opinion Bookstore and was even a subscriber to "Spotlight." At one time in the past, I was a member of "The Americans For Democratic Action" (an extreme left organization working for "One World Government" and Socialism) and of "The Minutemen" (one of the original modern-day "militias.") in the same month so I could be on their mailing lists and get information from both sides. We're talking about the sixties, here!

I know all about The Bilderbergers, the Rothschilds, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations (Also known as The Invisible Government), and other organizations that are determined to enslave us all for their own purposes. But there is one basic thing I learned from all this: that is that a massive, all-encompassing conspiracy would be impossible to maintain for any period of time.

BEYOND CONSPIRACY

I've had time to realize, and further investigate the fact that it isn't one massive conspiracy, but a bunch of smaller conspiracies and work by many individuals toward the same ends, fueled by a philosophy, not by a conspiracy. A conspiracy would require secrecy of a kind that would be impossible to maintain, especially over the time necessary, and among the massive numbers of people that it would require. A philosophy would not. At the same time a philosophy, generally accepted because it has been taught as an ideal in school, surely would spawn many small conspiracies by many individuals and groups who all think the same way because of their philosophy.

FORCED ALTRUISM

The philosophy involved here is altruism, whose basic mantra is this: "From each according to his ability, and to each according to his need." In other words: Steal from those willing and able to earn for themselves and give to those who are unwilling and/or unable. This philosophy has been what has controlled almost every government in this world for thousands of years. Every king, every emperor, every dictator, all nobles and aristocrats, including the communists and socialists in the past and in the present, have been Forced Altruists who have lived on the earnings of those producers, whose work produced all new wealth in the world. (See my Special Report entitled: "Producers vs. Looters.")

PRODUCERS vs. LOOTERS

In feudal times these producers were called serfs. The king and his nobles lived from the rents and taxes the serfs were forced to pay from their earnings, spending their time partying and making new laws to tax the serfs more and to control them more completely. They created nothing, but they lived their entire lives on the fruits of the production of those who did create new wealth: the serfs (Sounds like today's liberals, doesn't it?).

THE SOVERIGNTY OF THE INDIVIDUAL

Then, about 200 years ago, a group of people in what came to be called The New World designed a government based on the individual, which denied all powers to the government which the people had not given to it. It was a whole new concept. "The sovereignty of the individual." This concept created a system that was the envy of the world. We grew so fast and became so rich that we became the undisputed leaders of the world. But the Forced Altruists, who had been removed from power by this action, weren't about to give up their power. They went to work to get it back.

FORCED ALTRUISTS ATTACK

They created the National Education Association, which took over control of our schools and what was taught to our children. They've been teaching Forced Altruism as the ideal ever since. Which is why their numbers have been growing at such a rate. They hold most of the important professorships in our universities (and most of them came through the NEA-controlled educational system). Most will not hear of anything but Forced Altruism as an ideal (Although they don't call it that. They just call it "altruism."). You try to promote any other philosophy in their classes and you'll fail their course. Anybody who disagrees with them must suppress that disagreement or suffer.

IGNORING THE CONSTITUTION

They are in most of the influential positions in government. They make laws and regulations as they see fit ignoring the Constitution at will. (Example: the asset confiscation laws made possible by the RICO, anti-racketeering law, which allows them to just accuse us of a crime without the bother of having to convict us to be able to rip off our property.) The interesting thing about the RICO law is that it is almost identical to the British Admiralty Laws, used by Great Britain to plunder the shipping of the colonists, which caused us to revolt against them.

And that's just one example of their depredations. They attack us and kill us at will, as witness Waco and Ruby Ridge (and others I've detailed in my Special Report #2, entitled: "Jack-Booted Thugs?"). There are many documented examples of this, but I just don't have room to list them.

IT'S A PHILOSOPHY

The fact that all these things are not the result of a single conspiracy should be obvious to all and that such a conspiracy would soon collapse. But after teaching several generations of children that (forced) altruism is the philosophical ideal, a philosophy would not, and has not. In fact, it has spawned numerous smaller conspiracies founded by individuals who want to foster (forced) altruism as an ideal because it means that there will be many positions of power created, and each one of them intends to be the person who holds those positions of power.

THE CENTRAL BANK

One of the best examples of a smaller conspiracy that has had large repercussions in our society is the creation of a central bank with the power to control our money supply. In Gary Allen's "None Dare Call It Conspiracy," he writes: "You can control a government if you have it in your debt, a creditor is in a position to demand the privileges of monopoly from the sovereign. Money-seeking governments have (often) granted monopolies in state banking, natural resources, oil concessions and transportation. However, the monopoly which the international financiers most covet is control over a nation's money." (Emphasis mine. -RT)

Karl Marx wrote in the Communist Manifesto, this: "Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and (with) an exclusive monopoly, was one of the basic planks on which a socialist dictatorship is built." Lenin later said that: "…the establishment of a central bank was 90% of communizing (socializing) a country."

THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK

So, on December 22, 1913, taking advantage of Congress' desire to adjourn in time to get home for Christmas, the Federal Reserve Act was passed by a vote of 298 to 60 in the House and by 43 to 25 in the Senate. The people who were appointed to run the Federal Reserve Bank were the same people who were powers in the old Bank of the United States, which Andrew Jackson abolished because he felt a central bank was a deadly danger to the country.

IS IT A DANGER?

Let's look at how powerful our central bank is. The Federal Reserve controls our money supply and interest rates. It can manipulate the entire economy, creating inflation or deflation, recession, depression or boom. It can send the stock market up or down at whim. It is so powerful that Congressman Wright Patman, at one time chairman of the House Banking Committee, said this: "In the United States today we have in effect two governments. We have the duly constituted (U. S.) Government, then we have an independent, uncontrolled and uncoordinated government in the Federal Reserve System, (now) operating money powers which are reserved to Congress by the Constitution." (Italics mine. -RT)

And the Federal Reserve System has never been audited, in spite of efforts to do so, which it has resisted. So why have we allowed this? Simply because good people have done nothing. People have ignored politics and have thus allowed foreign (and domestic) financiers to gain total control over our money supply, and thus over our government. The Fed is now, effectively, our government.

THE FED CREATED THE GREAT DEPRESSION

It is a documented fact that The Fed, as the Federal Reserve has come to be called, did, in fact, create the Great Depression of 1929. It inflated the money supply by 62% and used the new money to bid the stock market up to dizzying heights. The media, ever helpful, ballyhooed the instant riches to be made in the stock market. Then, Montagu Norman, Governor of the Bank of England, who was known as the currency dictator of Europe, came to Washington to confer with Andrew Mellon, then Secretary of the Treasury. Immediately thereafter, the Fed reversed its easy-money policy and began raising the discount rate. Then New York financiers started calling 24-hour broker call loans, causing brokers and investors to have to dump their stock in order to pay the loans. This of course caused the stock market to collapse and brought on the collapse of the banking industry all over the country.

The Fed would not come to their aid, even though they were instructed by law to maintain an elastic currency. The insiders, who knew what was coming, weren't hurt. In fact, they made a killing -- which is what this was all about, to begin with -- for some of them. And if you look at the record, you'll find that every recession and boom since then has followed the Fed's manipulation of the money supply, and the insiders never get hurt.

INEPTITUDE? GET REAL!

Gary Allen says: "To think that the scientifically engineered crash of '29 was an accident or the result of stupidity defies all logic. The international bankers who promoted the inflationary policies and pushed the propaganda which pumped up the stock market represented too many generations of accumulated expertise to have blundered into the great depression." Most of the insiders were just after money. But the international (and domestic) bankers and financiers were after something else.

BOTTOM LINE: POWER

I've always wondered why people like Nelson Rockefeller, who have all the money they could ever spend, wanted to promote Socialism, until it dawned on me that this was the reason: he has never had to worry about where the money was coming from. There were no challenges. There was nowhere to go. So the next thing to go after is what all his money can buy: power. Under socialism, he figured he would be the one calling all the shots. So he was for it.

SO IS THERE A CONSPIRACY?

Gary Allen, in "None Dare Call It Conspiracy," said this: "Conspiracy to seize the power of government is as old as government itself. We can study the conspiracies surrounding Alcibiades in (ancient) Greece or Julius Caesar in ancient Rome, but we are not supposed to think that men today scheme to achieve political power."

The first job of the conspirator is to convince the world that there is no conspiracy. They do this by ridiculing the very idea of a conspiracy while attempting to make anyone who contends there is one the laughingstock of the world. So look at what is being done to conservatives (and others) today, as yesterday. They all are being painted as being militia members (who are, themselves, unwittingly cooperating in this by the very extremeness of their ideas) and of being bomb-throwers.

METHINKS THEY DOTH PROTEST TOO MUCH

They work hard to convince the rest of you that all right-wingers are the kind of people who would bomb a building full of children because there are some bureaucrats there, too. I don't know if they, themselves, caused the Oklahoma City explosion so they could blame it on conservatives, but I wouldn't put it past them. However, I'm not going to attempt to blame the explosion on them, just the concerted attempt to use this tragedy to discredit conservatives and anyone else who disagrees with them.

INEVITABILITY

Another ploy that is universally used by politicians is one that has served lawyers well in court: convince your opponent that a win for your side is inevitable and he will stop fighting you, which will concede the field to you and guarantee you the win. Politicians and bureaucrats work hard to convince the public that they can't fight city hall and win. So the public concedes the field and city hall wins.

LYING POLLS

Polls are an excellent example of how they do it. The president goes on the air to tell the nation his reasons for sending American troops to Bosnia. The next day, CNN and USA Today come out with a poll which fostered the conclusion that most Americans now agree with the president. (Actually, 46% agreed and 40% didn't. About even.) But Paul Harvey asked his radio stations to take a real poll and came up with an almost 100% opposition to the idea of sending troops to Bosnia! Who were CNN and USA Today surveying? It certainly was not the American people.

INDIVIDUALISM AND OBJECTIVISM

I am a student and promoter of Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism, which I discovered in the sixties and have been studying ever since, (even while I was estranged from politics. I thought I was studying personal motivation) in an effort to fully understand a philosophy that I believe can reverse, even stop cold, the advances the (forced) altruists have made in returning themselves to power in our society. It is defined this way, in essence: "It is The concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his only absolute." (Ayn Rand) This philosophy is the complete antithesis (opposite) of altruism, since it is basic therein that each person is responsible for his/her own welfare and does not regard any need people may have as a claim on the earnings of another. It is the basic philosophy that the Founders used (even if they did not realize it) to create this country.

In the fifties -- and even today, young people in colleges all over the world sit around and discuss the ideas Ayn Rand has espoused in her philosophy, in much the same way as earlier generations did with Carl Marx's philosophy. And it takes only about 20 years for those youngsters to take over the reins and run things. It has been more than 20 years now. That's one of the reasons for the resurgence of individualism in this country (what most people think of as conservatism) and why the Democrats (Forced Altruists) are in disarray.

TWO FACTIONS

This country was created basically by two factions: the patriots, who did such things as dumping tea into the harbor to protest the tea tax and other government excesses, and the pamphleteers such as Thomas Paine, who made it their business to spend all their time and effort telling people what the government was doing and enlisting their aid in stopping it. I have chosen the latter, rather than the former. I feel that words can be as powerful, sometimes more powerful than actions that are sometimes irrational. Demonstrating and getting in people's way don't work. All that does is get you in jail, and for what?

FOR US OR AGAINST US?

I respect what the militias and the like are trying to do. But I don't buy their entire dogma. I don't feel, for instance, that Rush Limbaugh has sold out to the establishment because he doesn't buy their dogma, either. (Nor do I buy every belief he espouses.) I believe their vow to resist with force the government's attempts to enslave us is suicidal. If we ostracize certain people just because they don't agree exactly with us, we inevitably lose a valuable resource in the battle to maintain the rights we have left, and to regain those we have lost. If we fight each other over small points of dogma, we're lost.

WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

I don't buy the whole dogma that the conspiracy theorists preach, although I would be the last to ridicule them. But having said that, I will further say this: I think we can work together (as individuals) to regain our rights and make this country what it used to be by exposing the altruists and all they do. Not by fighting amongst ourselves over whether it is one big conspiracy or a lot of individuals who all think alike and therefore end up working toward the same ends. The result is the same. If we don't mount an effective defense, we lose. So let's work together to stop what they're doing, whether it's a conspiracy or not. And you who have decided to opt out of the political fray, know this: If you don't get into the fight today, there will probably come a day when to join it will get you a jail sentence.

IT'S COSTING YOU A BUNDLE!

Whatever happens in the future, what is happening now is costing you a bundle. Or do you think it's right for more than 50% of your income to be taken from you at the point of a gun by your government? It's not at the point of a gun, you say? Just try and refuse to pay anything they say you owe in taxes and see how quickly the guys with guns on their hips show up. They're ripping you off now. They can stop you on the street and just take your money without even having to charge you with a crime (The RICO Laws). If you continue to ignore what they're doing to you and others, soon it won't make any difference what you think because they'll just jail you for it.

The first thing you must do to help in this fight is to keep yourself informed as to things the power seekers don't want you to know. To do that, join my Forced Altruism List to get a daily update on what's happening and where you can express your own gripes and frustrations.
