Abortion

There is no other topic that causes blood pressure to rise more than that of abortion. Some people may think that Race is the sodium chloride of topics, but Americans aren't really ready to discuss the racial problems in America yet. (Race discussions coming in February)

Abortion has become the most divisive and political issue in the late 20th century. Abortion proponents are out there every day using arguments such as, "a woman's right to choose," and, "it's a woman's issue." For the most part there are very few pro-life conservatives in the media and/or political ring that answer these arguments without dumbing down their pro-life positions. The reasons for this are easy to see. Abortion being such a political topic can make or break a politician's career. Media types want to be liked as much as the next guy, and the "Politically Correct Death Squad" makes it their mission in life to discredit ANY pro-life public figure that takes a firm, positive stand for Life.

The thing that boggles my mind is that every argument the abortion rights gang shouts can be easily refuted. The pro-abortion stance is completely based on falsehoods. Let's look at several arguments.

"It's a woman's right to choose what she does with her own body" This is the argument that is most often used by liberals who wish to eliminate men from the discussion. The problem with this argument is that there are many laws on the books in all fifty states that do NOT allow a woman to do what she wants with her own body. We have prostitution laws that do not allow women to sell their bodies. We have anti-drug laws which say that women cannot put illegal drugs into their bodies. Suicide is illegal, etc. This argument also begs the question of the humanity of the human being inside the pregnant woman.

"Abortion is a private matter between a woman, her physician, and her family." This argument is based on lies. A woman can have an abortion by any doctor that she has know for only one minute. There is no law that says that a woman has to have an abortion performed by her regular doctor. Therefore, how can the argument be made that the abortionist is "her physician?" She is not legally obligated in most states to either inform or receive consent from any family member, including her husband. The US Supreme Court has consistently struck down statutes that require spousal notification. Look up Planned Parenthood of Missouri v. Danforth, 428 U.S. 52 1976. This argument still begs the question of the humanity of the baby. The fact that a decision is private has no bearing on the question of whether the unborn entity that is killed by abortion is fully human and is deserving of legal protection. The biggest stint of the abortion crowd is to dehumanize the unborn baby. You see, if the fetus is not fully human then the abortion is not morally wrong. However, if the fetus is fully human then the abortion is morally repugnant.

"The fetus is not a human being" As stated above, the Death Squad will do anything to keep going the lunacy of the idea that the unborn is not fully human. This is so absurd, it almost defies logic. A zygote is created by a human ovum cell mixing with a human sperm cell. Just because these two cells have mixed does not mean that it is no longer human. This is like saying that if you mix chocolate and vanilla ice-cream it is no longer ice-cream but just a non-viable dairy product.

"If abortion is made illegal then women will be forced to have back-alley abortions" This argument from the get-go is saying that women in America are not law-abiding citizens. This argument is an insult to American women. Make no mistake about it. If abortion were made illegal the majority of American women would NOT go to a back-alley abortion doctor. We always see the placards at abortion rights demonstrations that shows the coat-hangar. This is to symbolize the back-alley abortion and home-made abortions types. Since abortion was unconstitutionally made law, abortion doctors have come a long way from the coat-hangar. If doctors did illegally perform abortions, I seriously doubt that they would resort to this old method.

"The argument of rape or incest" First of all, this argument is to pull at the heart-strings of those listening, because rape and/or incest is such a horrible thing to be a victim. This makes this argument deceptive in that abortion rights advocates are interested in abortion on demand. Rape and incest pregnancies are extremely rare, and in the cases where a woman does become pregnant due to either, there can be many provisions made for the handling of such results. Most Christian Pro-Life groups can live with the fact of an abortion being committed due to a pregnancy stemmed from a rape or act of incest. To argue for abortion on demand due to rape or incest is like arguing to eliminate all handgun laws, because you may have to defend yourself against a criminal with an illegally owned handgun. Second, the unborn child is not an aggressor when it does not endanger the life of the mother. The rapist is the aggressor.

"Abortion will cut down the number of unwanted births in an overpopulated world" This argument is unknowingly admitting that the unborn child is human. If we look at the numbers we can see that the number of unwanted births has skyrocketed since the Roe v. Wade decision. How is that? Any civilized society depends on it's girls saying "no" to sex. Abortion has removed all responsibility of sexual activity from women. Traditionally, we have raised our daughters to wait until marriage to have sex and not to have abortions. With abortion removing responsibility of consequences and liberals teaching sex education in our schools, we have seen sex become a household topic throughout America. We now have our daughters who will still not have an abortion, but they will have sex before marriage.

"Abortion will eliminate many cases of child abuse" This is like the guy who kills his parents, and then pleads for mercy to the court because he is an orphan. 'Nuff said.

"It's not a man's issue. It's a woman's issue" How the hell is this idiotic argument going to be used against a pro-life woman? Abortion is a people issue. If abortions are paid for with tax dollars, and men pay taxes, then it is certainly a man's issue as well as a woman's issue. And the next time someone tries to use this argument with you, tell them to forget about Roe v. Wade, because it was decided by an all man court.

"Abortion is a constitutional right" We must first ask, what is a right? The Declaration of Independence is the first American document that addresses this topic.

We hold these truth to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator, with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These words mean that certain rights need no explanation. People from all corners of the earth can understand them. God is the giver of these rights. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are all denied the unborn human by abortion. The Constitution then goes on to secure these three most basic rights. The best way seen to secure these rights is see in the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution of the United States. Legislators, not liberal activist judges, create laws in the United States. A law must first originate in the US House of Representatives. It is then passed on to the United States Senate and then sent to the President for signature. The abortion "law?" never went through ANY of these democratic processes. In fact, every time abortion on demand made it on a state election ballot it lost terribly. Judges are the last refuges of the liberal scoundrel. A judge has created every crazy liberal law. This is because liberalism goes against the very nature of humanity.

Remember this: Every argument used on the pro-death side stems from illogic, lies and manipulation of emotions. In Roe v. Wade the woman was never raped. She wasn't even pregnant. She is now a member of Pro-Life organizations!!!!

Feminists use abortion for a power play of women over men. These are the same usual suspects that try to get support for more nutty liberal legislation by asking us to "do it for the children." Most of these people are liberals. What can you say about an ideology doesn't believe in killing a convicted murderer, but believes in killing an innocent child?
