Permit me to introduce myself---My full name is David Norman F. Todd born Halloween 1943 in St. Johns Ariz.  By design or perhaps just an

accident of birth I was born into one of this country's oldest families in Tidewater Virginia 1620's with linage to no less than 7 presidents beginning

with Washington and Madison.  Spent my formative years on our ranch in AZ surrounded by Mormons, Mexicans and Indians ( 5 reservations) was

also down wind of the Nevada atomic testing which resulted in a 30+ year ongoing battle with cancer.  In 1953 we moved to our other ranch in the

upper Arkansas valley out side of Salida Colo.  In 1955 the family started to prepare me for a proper position in life so it was off to boarding school

with my summers being spent with my great Uncle W. Parsons Todd in Morristown N.J. one giant cultural shock for a barefoot savage to be thrust

into eastern society in a house with a full complement of servants. Spent the next twenty years in New Jersey where I developed a real appreciation

for history, the Constitution and preservation which came from living with politicians, historians, collectors, preservationists and senior military

officers. our home was on a huge point in Morristown where from the back yard I could look down on George Washington's headquarters and the

house where Hamilton met his wife and just a short distance from the site of the first telegraph message.  Our family business was headquartered at

63 Wall Street next door to where Hamilton had his law office and across the street from where Washington took his oath of office.  Was in

Philadelphia in 1967 when the Todd house at the corner of 4th and w became part of the Independence hall Walnut became part of the Independence

Hall exhibit. about that time I decided to take advantage of my family influence and connections in the political arena which was not only an

educational experience but got me in a lot of hot water and my world came crashing down with the Watergate era and the discovery of my cancer

problem.  Went back west in 75 played around in the used car business and gun show circuit headed for the pacific northwest in 80 manufactured

security devices in Vancouver had a hardware store and gun shop in Sumas Washington and for 7 years was co- host of Alden's Outdoors a radio

talk show. in the ate 80's and early 90's I locked horns with Kin Campbell the justice minister (Attorney General) later prime minister over her gun

control bill.  The end result was a mutual loss and win---she got her gun control bill passed and me off the air but her reign as prime minister was

short lived and the Conservative Party went down with her for the past 9 years I have been living a quite life here in Tennessee while I have been

undergoing cancer treatments and reconstructive surgery now I am ready to get active again ---weekends usually finds me at a Civil War

Reenactment where I set up my art gallery.
