This site has been set up primarily to act as a source
of information for Society of Telecom Executives (STE)
members on the BT Laboratories site at Martlesham Heath,
near Ipswich in Suffolk, UK. It may also be of interest
to those wanting to know what goes on in a white-collar
trade union in the UK.
The STE represents managers and professionals in the telecommunications industry in the UK. Many of our members work for BT, the largest telecomms employer in the UK, although there are a substantial number of STE members working for other employers too. As you can see from this site, the STE provides a wide range of services to members, as well as negotiating with employers and taking up problems on behalf of members. If you are an STE member (or want to join!) and would like to know more, please contact us. There may be more detail on how some of the technical features of this website have been created. |
