given to Newfoundland sets a bad precedent, especially as the
government of Quebec insists that others must automatically and unconditionally respect the borders of an independant Quebec.
Nevertheless, and not without some irony if not outright hpocrisy, Quebec continues to support the alteration of it's borders - provided it makes Quebec larger. And the premiers of Quebec continue to support the idea of partition - not of Quebec, but of Newfoundland and Labrador."
