The People's Assembly press conference attracted a large crowd
of supporters who continued on to Starbucks Coffee Shop and The 
Gap that use cheap labor and sweatshops promoted under IMF/WB 
policies.  The protesters chanted "Junk IMF/World Bank!" "We gotta

beat back the corporate attack!" and "Ang tao, ang bayan, ngayon 
ay lumalaban!"
